Disney to Invest 3 Billion in Complete Re-Do of
Disney's Hollywood Adventure (Studios)
ThisInfamous.com is reporting that the Disney Company is set
to unveil plans at D23 of a 3 billion dollar re-do of
Disney's Hollywood Studios. The revitalized park will
be called Disney's Hollywood Adventure and will feature new
Star Wars and Pixar attractions along with a transplant of
the Indiana Jones attraction from Disneyland and more.
They also hint at a shuttering of Illuminations for a new
show and something replacing Journey Into Imagination.
DisneyQuest Closing Sometime In 2016 To Be
Replaced By NBA Experience
Disney World has announced that they will be closing
DisneyQuest sometime in 2016 - bringing an end to their
indoor interactive theme park. The announcement comes as
Downtown Disney is being transformed into Disney
Springs, which will bring in over 150 retailers,
restaurants, and experiences. DisneyQuest will be
closing to make way for the brand new NBA Experience.

The Species' Animal Droppings At Animal Kingdom's Zuri's
biggest buzz around the Animal Kingdom inspired treats-
the animal droppings! Zuri's Sweets Shop opened June
17th, 2015 as the capstone to the new Harambe Market
section at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The new location
features a variety of treats including four somewhat
inexplicable confections devised to look like actual
animal droppings. The 'Match the Species' series
includes Cotton Top Tamarin Poop, Elephant Poop, Giraffe
Poop, and Hippo Poop. All scooped up fresh this morning,
per the CM!
America's First Water Park - Wet n' Wild to Close it's Doors
December 31, 2016
Widely considered to
be America's first Water Park (having opened in 1977),
Wet n' Wild today announced on the Universal Orlando
Resort Blog that it will cease operations and
permanently close on December 31, 2016. A few
weeks ago, Universal announced the opening of their new
state of the art Water Park "Volcano Bay" in 2017.
'Frozen' Attraction Coming to Epcot's Norway To
Be Known As
'Frozen Ever After'
released some new details and concept art from the
upcoming 'Frozen' inspired attraction coming to Epcot's
Norway Pavilion. The four minute boat adventure will be
known as "Frozen Ever After" and will feature all the
regulars from the animated film, as well as the Snowgies
from the 'Frozen Fever' animated short. The attraction
is set to open sometime in 2016.
'NBA Experience at Walt Disney World Resort'
Coming to Disney Springs
The NBA Experience at
Walt Disney World Resort is going to be a one-of-a-kind
destination featuring hands-on activities that put
families and guests of all ages right in the middle of
NBA game action. You’ll be able to explore inside the
world of professional basketball with numerous
interactive experiences and enjoy a restaurant and
retail store. It will be part of the expanded Disney
Springs debuting in 2016.
Universal Announces New Water Theme Park Volcano Bay Opening in 2017
Universal today announced an all new water theme
park Volcano Bay. Set in picture-perfect
tropical islands and formed by a massive
volcano, it will have something for every member
of the family. Volcano Bay will feature
radically-innovative attractions, peaceful
moments of relaxation and an experience that we
hope will change the way guests think about
water theme parks. Ground has already been
broken just south of Universal’s Cabana Bay
Beach Resort. Construction will move quickly,
and the park will open in 2017.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular Show to
Debut at Mickey's Halloween Party
all-new show will bring extra Halloween fun to “Mickey’s
Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” when it returns to the
Magic Kingdom® Park at Walt Disney World® Resort this
fall. “Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular” features the
mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus
Pocus” as they return to the mortal world for one night

Lindsey's Hanger Bar to Open in Downtown Disney This
A new aviation-themed lounge, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar,
will feature unique cocktails and small plates at its
prime location along Lake Buena Vista. Ardent fans of
the “Indiana Jones” films may recognize Jock Lindsey as
Indy’s frequent pilot. In the main room, guests will
discover an expansive bar, aviation decor filling the
room, vintage travel posters covering the walls and
correspondence between Jock, Indy and their fellow
adventurers on display. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is set
to open to guests fall 2015 at The Landing area at

Coming to Universal Studios Theme Parks
and Universal Parks & Resorts today announced plans to bring
the world of Nintendo to life at Universal theme parks –
creating spectacular, dedicated experiences based on
Nintendo’s wildly popular games, characters and worlds. The
immersive experiences will include major attractions at
Universal’s theme parks and will feature Nintendo’s most
famous characters and games. More details will be announced
in the future, as the Nintendo and Universal creative teams
work to create specific concepts.

Pin Trading Edition Coming to the Online Store Starting May
Hey, Disney pin collectors! Starting May 14, Disney will
release the first Disney Park Pack – Trading Edition on the
Disney Parks online store. This Online exclusive box of pins
includes a limited edition 500 pin that is only available in
the Disney Park Pack, as well as two open edition pins
guests will receive before they are available in locations
at Disney Parks. Each month, on the first Thursday, Disney
will release a new Park Pack for sale through the Disney

following his battle with thyroid cancer, John Yaglenski
decided to use the power of the Internet community he
built to raise awareness and money to support thyroid
awareness and research. John runs INTERCOT.com, one of
the largest Disney vacation planning websites on the
INTERCOT’s community banded together with #runICOT, an
annual gathering at Walt Disney World’s Marathon
Weekend. With dozens of runners and supporters in
Orlando for the events, and thousands participating at
home through social media and daily podcasts, #runICOT
became a unique opportunity for a community to show how
kindness and encouragement can change lives.

This year’s #runICOT event was a huge success and the
final tally is in. INTERCOT.com raised a total of
$941.31, a number that sounded a little Goofy... yes, a
Disney pun. So, John (as he promised he would in the
INTERCOT Insider Podcast) kicked in the final share to
bring the total to an even $1000 donation to THYCA. At
this point, there’s only one thing left to ask.
ARE YOU IN FOR #runICOT 2016?
Enthusiastic fans of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at
the Disneyland Hotel are celebrating the soft opening
March 28 of the East Coast version. Trader Sam’s Grog
Grotto is located off the main lobby of Disney’s
Polynesian Village Resort; the adjacent Trader Sam’s
Tiki Terrace offers views of the marina and Seven Seas
Lagoon. Official opening is set for late April, when the
coveted Tiki souvenir glassware arrives. (Tiki fans go
bananas for the collectible mugs.) An official opening
date will be announced soon!
The new restaurant
(formerly Adventureland Verandah), will be tentatively be
called the “Skipper’s Cantina”, themed around the Jungle
Cruise attraction. The rumored back story: Seems the
skippers are not making enough money driving the boats and
need to open a restaurant for some extra cash. Current
thought is that it will
operate similar to "Be Our Guest" in that it may be counter
service for lunch and table service for dinner. Disney's
goal is to open in November, 2015.

Is Disney's Hollywood Studios Changing Names Again?
an annual shareholders meeting today, Disney CEO Bob Iger hinted a
name change was coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly
Disney MGM Studios)... again. "Now we can announce that. It's not
been announced right? We'll announce that we're changing the name
but we won't announce what we're changing it to." Iger stated. With
changes in store rumored to expand on both the Pixar and Star Wars
franchises, it's not surprising, however no further comment was made
during the meeting.
24 Hour Event to Kick off 'Coolest Summer Ever' at Walt Disney
Disney World's annual 24 hour event has been announced for 2015, and
this time it's kicking off the summer long celebration "Coolest
Summer Ever." Guests are invited to the Magic Kingdom on May 22-23,
from 6am Friday - 6am Saturday.
Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace To Switch Places at Magic
With a little bit of Disney
magic, the two popular tropical treat locations within the Magic
Kingdom are changing places! Aloha Isle, home of the Dole Whip, and
Sunshine Tree Terrace, home of the Citrus Swirl, will be swapping
locations and menus on March 12.
Disney officially announced today that two of it's most popular Walt
Disney World attractions are expanding, with Toy Story Mania! adding
additional track, and Soarin' receiving an additional theater.
Soarin' will also receive upgrades on the screens and projection
systems in the two existing theaters. These improvements are set to
be complete by late 2016.
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival Opens Today
Be sure to follow along on INTERCOT's social media outlets, as we
bring you all the beautiful colors, yummy tastes and the sounds of
Garden Rocks, from this year's Epcot International Flower & Garden
Festival. The Festival runs today through May 17th.

evening under the stars with a sing-a-long, a visit from our silly
friends, Chip & Dale, and a Disney movie. Fire lighting is at 7:30
pm nightly, Sing-a-long at 8:00, and movie about 8:40.
