Watched it last nite - lot of personality clashes and egos. Star Jones and Dionne Warwick certainly weren't team players - I was disappointed in them.
My aunt met Dionne many years ago and said that she is a total WITCH. She was pretty evil to her.
I don't have anyone this season that I really want to win just yet, but I know who I don't want to win!
I have not watched last night's episode yet, but I am no fan of Star, or Richard.
I always say that I won't watch again, but then I do. I'm not warming up to the cast yet.
Really? Not the consensus for New Yorkers.
I do not watch the 'regular' versions because of my comment above. LOL! I do watch the Celebrity Apprentice because of the drama and there is usually someone on there I like. (Curtis Stone, Joan Rivers, Trace Adkins.)
I cannot stand Star Jones. :ack:
I'm enjoying this season so far...I always like the celebrity versions and how people surprise you. I am a big Big and Rich fan so it's nice to see John Rich. I was glad Hatch wasn't fired but read yesterday on Fox News that he was headed back to jail. Wasn't 3 years enough? Anywho--you know who is growing on me? NeNe (sp?) I don't watch any of those Housewife shows but I think she may be smarter than we think she is-oh and Sunday night when she was imitating Marlee was hysterical-not very PC, but VERY funny ;)
I think that's part of why I enjoy it so much! I don't know most of these "Celebrities" before the show ...
My observations so far:
- Dionne does not seem like a nice woman.
- Star Jones is VERY VERY smart and well spoken.
- Mark McGrath and John Rich are incredible team players. I hope they do well.
- I think that NeNe and Nikki will quietly roll along for the long haul.
Carol, honestly, it's not just me! We all love the Donald up here.... bad hair and all!
I ham shocked at how Dionne behaved, she was disgusting. I never would have expected that.
I love NeNe she is my favorite housewife. She tells it like it is with no apologies.
You should watch, Mel. Lots of drama so far. :drama:
Yeah Mel you should, it's been pretty good so far. One of the more entertaining shows so far this season really.
Just caught up through On Demand - Holy cow! what a lot of hot heads.
Being addicted to Real Housewifes of Anywhere, I have seen Nene in the past and she has very much been on good behavior for her. She is one of my all time favorite housewifes but being calm and collected is not her strong suite. It will interesting to see what unfolds when she and Starr get into it.
Both teams should now be aware that not standing up for yourself is the surest way to have The Donald send you packing.
I wasn't going to watch this season because the previews looked too much like a freak show. I didn't watch the first show and did watch the second show (nothing else on TV). It is indeed a freak show and I suspect will only get worse. They're not team players and seem to forget they're playing for charity.
I so hoped Lisa would have fought a bit more to stay. I think Donald wanted to keep her if she only would have stuck up for herself a bit more. He gave her multiple opportunities. Star and Dionne really teamed up on her. Lisa was just so intimidated by them, it was sad. I was so wishing that Niki, Hope or Marlee would have had her back.
I do not like Dionne one bit. She is a nasty witch for sure!
I really like Lisa. She's one of the reasons I tuned it. I don't think she stood a chance. Star was adamant about getting rid of her from the get go. You could see that in the first episode.
Unfortunately I don't see Star going anywhere soon. She'll stay around for shock value just like that poker player Annie did a few seasons ago. No one liked her as a team-mate but Donald never fired her.
It's all about ratings and drama. Same thing with Richard and David. Richard breeds drama = more viewers and water cooler chatter. Hence the celebrity version does much better in the ratings then the original format.
OK after the first episode I thought Lisa was going to have backbone but she let Star and Dionne shred her to pieces. I too am waiting for NeNe to show her true colors.
I saw recently LaToya on a talk show (think it was Wendy Williams) and she asked her how did she get along with Star and she replied I like her just as much as her old co-hosts of The View yikes!!
I find this season to be entertaining love the crazyiness of Gary and the tender heart of Meatloaf (who knew? I just remember him from looking angry and sweaty from his videos - remember Paradise by the Dashboard Lights!?)
I think Star and Richard may make it to the end. Star may be a witch but she is a good laywer. I also think Marlee, Nikki Taylor, Mark Mc Grath and Lil John are tough cookies that are just waiting for their moment to shine. As for Dionne she needs to go she has been known to be rude and obnoxious all over Jersey so I am not surprised at her behavior on the show.
Glad there are so many out there watching the fun on Sunday nights!
Wow, next week looks hilarious!
