when we go to savannah we also stay in pooler .i cant remember the exit # but there should be signs.we usually stay at the travel lodge but there are several more to choose from.there also is a air museum there.:mickey:
If we ever get to Savannah, we will eat (no matter the wait) at Paula Dean's restaurant. I believe it's still called Lady and Son's.
Do not stay at the Days Inn in Port Wentworth (just north of Savannah). The floor was softer than the bed. We stayed there for 5 hours in June. We got there at about 9PM, I packed the family in the car at 2AM because I could not lie on the bed.
Not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but I'm thinking we always stop at exit 94... We usually stay at the Wingate (sp?) there and eat at Cracker Barrel. Such creatures of habit we are :)
my dw & i waited 2 hours once to eat there .the food wasnt anything different than what my wife & i cook.its become a major tourist attraction hence the long waits.we usually eat at Loves.always good and we have to get a doogie bag to go.we also eat at stingrays or the crab shack on tybee island.we live 3 hours from savannah so we go quite often (when we're not at disney ) now i'm not knocking lady & sons but i think her show ,which i watch has hyped it up more than it deserves. its just good ole down home southern cooking which i get everday and have since the day i was born.if its something your not use to eating then i'm sure you'll enjoy it.:mickey:(wthe
