That's it, you hold onto that dream again this season. We'll see who makes the playoffs.
BTW, for anyone who is interested, I'll be doing an Intercot Fantasy Football league on NFL.com again this year. After my upcoming trip to Disney in a few weeks, I'll get the league set up and post the info in a separate thread.
My friend, the Browns schedule isn't much better this year. I am hoping our Browns can do it, but "on paper" means very little. Just look at the Indians. Going from a game away from the World Series to one of the worst teams in the league. I guess we will see pretty soon.
oh the pain, agony.....my sides are splitting right open from laughing so hard.....I can hardly type, this is so funny......I'm afraid I'm going to short out my computer from the tears streaming down my face.....
......I've got a great friend who thinks the same as you and loves the Browns, but unfortunatley mid way through each of his seasons he finally sees the light and just hopes for "next year"....ha, ha !!!
....good luck to you, and no matter how easy or hard ones season is, you still have to see the best in post season.....!!:mickey:
Boy you are a seasoned Cleveland fan. Hedging before the season even begins. I say go all the way with the trash talk or not at all...then make excuses when things don't go well.
Yeah the Browns and the Steelers play pretty much the same teams but I believe the Browns get to play all of the better team (from last year) at home where Pittsburgh has to play at their stadiums.
Oh and there is/was no 2008 baseball season. You hear me? Never happened.
No talk about the Eagles... they'll go undefeated this season.
Nope we usually don't do pre-season, but feel free to talk smack as much as you would like, Intercot's Football Fun will begin with regular season the first week in September (which is darn soon enough) isn't it still summer ;)
Just kidding folks!
Missed out on the Intercot Fantasy league last season, but will be watching for it this season. By the way, won my NFL.com fantasy league last season!
GO RAMS!!!! :number1:
As you can tell by my avatar, I'm a diehard Vikes fan :). I'm pretty confident we'll win the NFC North (Mostly due to the other teams not really improving at all), but outside of that it'll be a tough call as to how we do.
Until the Vikes get a real QB the division will be close. The Pack and Vikes both have great D's that will keep them in games but both have a question marks at QB. My opinion of the NFC North is the Lions and Bears are both inferior teams and neither should factor much into the final standings and it comes down to the Packers and Vikings.
If you look at last season for the Vikings the opponents D would stack the box to take away the run and dare the passing game to beat them and on most occasions it couldn't. Tavaris has had three years to develop so this could be his break out season but from what I have witnessed of him up until this point I'm not to confident that will happen. My best friend is a die hard Viking fan and has been selling me since the middle of the 2006 season when Jackson first was starting this guy was their future, even he today is a little nervous. It will be interesting to see. As for the rest of the team the O-line is above average, the RB's are as good as you can get and the WR's are greatly improved. Like I said it all boils down to the key position at QB.
I have three friends who are all Viking fans and all three are claiming the North this year because the Packers haven't done anything to improve. I find that funny. The Pack was the youngest team in football with a lot of inexperienced players last year and still made the NFC championship game. They may not have went out after any big free agents like other teams do but nor did they last off season and look at where they were at the end of the season. Ted Thompson does a great job of bringing in a lot of young and hungry players to develop a high level of competition for each starting position, this ensures that the players are always working to be the best. My opinion is that the Packers are stacked at many positions including D-line, WR, RB, saftey and linebacker. With a full year of winning experience under their belts many of the younger player should be markably better. Just like the Vikes it boils down to QB and the ability of Aaron Rodgers and his ability to lead this team. The way the Packers are built they shouldn't have to rely on Rodgers carrying the team, more just not making costly mistakes. AS long as Rodgers plays to an average level the Pack should contend for the division.
Bottom line, the division is going to be very close and should be fun to watch this year.
As a Raiders fan ...I am just looking foward to just win a game :D
