Any details?
When?
Why?
Was something announced?
I guess I can't say I'm surprised. It was probably the most underwhelming attraction we visited there last month.
I loved Twister the movie so I was excited to see it and was honestly disappointed.
I thought the same thing about Shrek. The attraction movie was funny, but the "ride" needs to be updated. Question - was Shrek formerly the Hanna Barbara ride?
The worst attraction at Universal. Good riddance.
Honestly, Universal Studios is about half "land of irrelevant movie franchises." It's comical how long this twister attraction has lasted.
T2 should be getting enhancements, or maybe should have gotten them by now... and with the new Terminator movie coming out, I don't think T2 is going anywhere for a while... Shrek still gets crowds too... If something were to go though, I'd say Shrek first... Gotta try to profit off the new Terminator first... :)
Need proof This sounds like fan wishing.
Pretty much felt that the movie sucked and the one time I did the attraction, it was nice to know the attraction met the same standards as the movie.
Won't shed a tear to see it go.
The movie was great fun and so was this attraction. I liked having everything play out right in front of you. I also enjoyed the Backdraft attraction in Hollywood which was the same concept.
I'll be sad to see it go but I knew it's time was limited. I'll be excited to see what Universal comes up with next.
No it wasn't...Hanna Barbara was where Despicable Me is now....after Hanna Barbara it was Jimmy Neutron and presently Despicable Me.
I am sad....I love the movie so I guess that's why I enjoyed the attraction.....I know that I am the minority. :( And Yes, I love the Shrek attraction too!
Latest scuttlebut around the Twister location is a show/experience themed around the Tonight Show. Which would fit in with the NYC theme of the area. Not too much info on what this would look like yet.
BTW- the ride/experience where Shrek is now was the Alfred Hitchcock exhibit.
Back to the future!Back to the future!Back to the future!!!!
good, that was horrible.....very lame.
My 15 year old brother commented "that's just a Wednesday night in Kansas".
Not sure about the Tonight Show theme... possibly put out there to 1) throw people off 2) catch leaks...
Someone in the industry has reported the replacement will be... ready fro it?? MORE SCREENS!!!!
A screen based, 3D motion simulator... Didn't say the theme though...
Interesting info is that this may be a Twister redo using a Soarin' or even the new Avatar/Pandora based motion/flying simulator. Imagine being in the middle of a twister rather than just watching from the sidelines.
Could be pretty cool, athough this might also be a one-up on Disney with this being done and open before Avatar.
