Cofused Wait list?
I've been trying to read other threads about Wait listing and I have to say I'm more confused. So here is my scenario could someone tell me if this makes sense:
We've recently decided to go back to WDW in March 2010 (using use year December 2009 points) for the first week of the Flower/Garden Festival. Ideally we would like to stay at BWV...but if it is not available then I'll be looking back at my home resort AKV. So if BWV is not available can I book AKV and wait list BWV at the same time? Am I understanding this right?
Sorry if this post seems redundant but I'm confused and a newer owner.

Yes! That is the best way to waitlist. Book your home resort. That guarantees that you will have a place to stay.
Of course, you are now within the 7 month window, which means that you can call and try to book at any resort. So before you call MS, rank, in order, your preferences. So if you ask for BWV first, you might get it. If not try preference #2. If that is available, book it and waitlist BWV.
In the future, if you are between 7 and 11 months out, book AKV and then, if you would like to stay somewhere else, call MS when you reach 7 months out and see if you can switch. If not, you can waitlist.
When you call at the 7 month window, if your choice of resort is available, you will first be asked to cancel your original and then book the new one. This will all happen on the same call.
If you waitlist, and it comes through, it will happen automatically.
I hope that helps.

Yes thanks for clearing that up for me. I ended up calling member services this morning and was able to get my first half of my March Vacation at AKV and the second half at BWV. Which works out perfect since the Flower/Garden starts the second half of that week.
Thanks again for clearing that up and giving me ideas for future vacations.
