Kids get appetizers on the DDP?

I "know" that you don't get appetizers on the DDP, but I just got an advanced planning email from disney and in it is a link to DDP details which is a PDF for the DDP. For sit down meals it says:

For Lunch / Dinner
----------------------
Appetizer (Guests 3 - 9 only)

So the obvious question is - do children get an appetizer with meal service or is this a missprint?

Most of the table service Children's Meals include a serving of vegetables or salad that Disney classifies as an appetizer.
