The TOS Tecnically doesn't allow you to post what you just did either...
However, if it's a link to the Disney website, you are fine.

How about a link to another Intercot thread?
I just got the Diney Insider email. I am SO going to apply. DH is helping me to come up with something very creative to show them what I got!! This would be a dream for me, because I am NOT shy and Disney is what I'm passionate about. COOL!! :mickey:
I just finished my script and will be working on my video when I get home from work. It was so hard to keep it to just 60 seconds... when it comes to Disney, I can go on and on and on...
My current job would be flexible enough if I actually won. 8 appearences in 12 months right? I assume that 4 will be in Disney Land and 4 in WDW. I should have enough vacation days.
*fingers crossed... legs breaking*
i just sent mine it:mickey: After a few tries, I got the video I wanted-those theater classes in college paid off!! Now I know why they didn't pick me to be on the Moms panel, duh! LOL
Wow...that is awesome!:mickey:
Yeah, as much as I would love to apply for this job if I was single without kids, I have to bring up some of the less magical pieces of the described position. :D
- decrees
- interacts with guests always
- spreads inspiration to communities
- speaking engagements
- media talks
This is very much a PR position. It sounds like it's going to take a personality that thrives on media attention, can speak inpirationally to very large crowds, and can act as a public icon for the company. I think they're looking less for the everyday person who loves WDW and more for an "always-on" character but who also has a good working knowledge of corporate liabilities.
I know, my wife tells me all the time..."Why do you always have to do that?" :D
I just like to see both sides of the coin.:cool:
This is the best news I've heard all day! Totally beats all the other job interviews I've been on lately!!! I'm SOOOO in!!! :mickey:
Where do i send my resume-??
I am serious
This job has me written all over it !!!!
Click on the link in Mufasa's post. It will take you to the page in question. Gl to all who apply. :thumbsup:
OT Mufasa love the location dude :D
Cool! :waycool:
Thank you for posting this Mufasa!
I just finished my video and am going to send it in.
I would be PERFECT for this!
Some of the videos are posted now on the official CMO website. They are all quite entertaining, ENJOY!
Thanks for posting that! Fun to watch what is coming in. Now I'm thrilled with what I did, it is really different and I showed it to a friend of mine (not even dh has seen it), she was laughing her head off, so that's a good sign. What character were you? I was Simba. I keep wondering if they want a Mickey Mouse. Moms, enter!!! You can work stuff out with the travel and schedule! I have already told dh we would handle it, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!
What will be really interesting to me is whether they will simply disqualify those that used music.
It said very specifically that you were NOT allowed to use any music (I'm sure this is due to legal reasons) in your video.
Pick me!!!
Pick me!!!
Hello, all. I created my video today but it's in the wrong format. I have it on Windows Movie Maker and I have it in WMV file. Can anyone tell me how to convert this to one of the acceptable file formats? I only have a few days to finish it up!! Thanks in advance for your help!!:mickey:
According to the site, your video format should be fine. .wmv is on the list.
Videos will be judged on:
* Entertainment value
* Personality
* Imaginative presentation
* Passion for Disney
* Ability to make people laugh and smile
* For more details on judging criteria, click here.
Video Resume Requirements:
* Must be less than 60 seconds in length.
* Music is not allowed
* Maximum file size is 50 MB
* Keep it fun. Keep it Disney.
We accept the following formats:
.3gp .3g2 .asf .avi .dv .flv .m4v .mov .mpg .mpg2 .mpeg .mpeg2 .mpeg4 .mp4 .qt .wmv .asf .mp3 .wav .wma
Hi Disneykat,
Just an added thought. I believe that when using Windows Movie Maker, the project phase of your work is in .wmv format. You can usually find this section in the "drop down screen section on the left of the screen, on the bottom third of the screen - if you did not customize your views that is - look for it it is there under Movie Tasks --> 3. Finish Movie. However, to complete your project you have to finish your movie, this is done by selecting the final format type that you wish to use. (i.e. formats that are suitable for e-mailing, saving to your computer, uploading or however you plan to use your video). Keep in mind the 50 MB contest restrictions when you make your choice and this will complete your project & actually creates your "movie". Then try uploading this file to the "Chief Magic Official" contest website - if the file's too big, make another choice in your "completed project". Please note that it may take a while for you movie to upload but you will get a screen that lets you know your progress and whether your upload was sucessfull or not. I just wanted to offer you a little "movie making magical insight", from a person who used Windows Movie Maker to create and submit my own video entry some two weeks ago for this contest. In a few days, your entry could be among the many already posted there online. To me, it has been more fun than entering the contest or dreamin' of winning, that is -watching other fans of Disney express their passion for the Mouse, it's a real treat! I hope that this helps you to get your Disney Dreams out-there. I'm looking forward to viewing your entry online!

I haven't used that to make movies, I just was looking at the formats allowed.
Glad there was someone else who had used it before. :D
And remember, before you submit your entry, music is not allowed!
OFFICIAL RULES:"Music cannot be included in any Online Entry submitted. Any Online Entry submitted with music will be disqualified. "
So make sure you do not include any music in your clip. It's too bad, because there are some good clips that have the people singing in them, which disqualifies them if I am reading the rules correctly.
