Can't say I'm surprised. I suspected this might be the case!
Here's hoping they hold on to it through at least next Oct.! :mickey:
You know, I take back what I said earlier. We saw it last week, and with the exception of the music, I was disappointed....and I'd seen it before (in California). Can't put my finger on it, but not impressed. I vote for something new altogether!
Is it going to still be there in december? We are going around christmas but dont know when. I definety don't want to miss this. haven't seen it since 2004. i miss it (
You can add me to the camp that thinks the switching back and forth between spectro and msep is getting old.
It's time to develop a new night time parade theme.
Perhaps it's nostalgia but I like the Main Street Electric Parade!
Wishes is long overdue for a change IMHO and I know I will get thrown under the bus but so is Illuminations. Don't get me wrong I like them both but it's just time for some changes. Hopefully for the 40th they will WOW us with some new fireworks
I agree about Illuminations. It has been the same show since at least 2000 and I don't think it changed a whole lot for that. The globe is pretty cool, but that segment is boring, they need to do something to spice it up.
My love affair with Disney didn't begin until the beginning of 2003. I've always loved Disney, but didn't fall in love until then. That was my introduction to any nighttime spectacular. As a kid we never stayed for the nighttime activities. We've always lived just close enough that my parents wanted to leave early enough to be home at a "decent" time. So even though Wishes and Illumination have been around for a while, they're relatively new to me. And this is what allows Disney to hang on to something for so long; it's always new for someone.
I have a passion for Wishes, but Illuminations doesn't do a lot for me. The Globe seems to be the center of attention and I've never been that impressed with it. I enjoy the music of Illuminations, but I don't go out of my way to see it (I can say the same thing for Fantasmic). I do make special provisions for Wishes and Spectro.
I sure hope it's still running the 1st part of December. That just added to my EXTREME excitement. :mickey:
