Universal during Spring Break

We have visited Disney during spring break and know about the crowds. Is Universal just as bad? We have never been and were looking to go March 24-30. I see these dates are blacked out for promotions and ticket promotions are listed as Peak so I assume crowds :( but how bad are they?

I am not sure, because this is one of the times of year I have only gone to Disney and not Universal.

I DO know that Universal has their Mardi Gras celebration at that time. So, you may want to check out their listing of concert performers who are part of this yearly event. That may be a good jumping-off point for crowd research if no one here has gone to Universal at that time.
