Well, they're working on at least two new attractions in Epcot with the Remy ride and the Guardians coaster. They recently put a new movie in the Land pavilion, and they're renovating the area around Spaceship Earth.
In Hollywood studios, they recently opened two entire new lands with new attractions, and most recently opened the only ride in any Disney park featuring Mickey Mouse.
In the Magic Kingdom they're building the Tron Lightcycle coaster, which looks amazing. The new Fantastyland is beautiful, and while it's a few years old, still feels new.
Animal Kingdom, while having Avatarland for a while now, could use some more love. Especially over in the Dinoland USA section.
Not sure what else you want.
To sum up, in the last two years, and over the next two years, Walt Disney World will have 8 new rides (not reimagined rides) open:
Star Wars Smugglers' Run
Star Wars Rise of the Resistance
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Slinky Dog Dash Coaster
Alien Swirling Saucers (OK, this is a terrible example, but I threw it in because it wasn't a refurbed attraction)
Tron Light Cycle Coaster
In the last five years (or so) it has opened four new "lands":
Star Wars: Galaxy's End
Toy Story Land
Avatar Land
New Fantasyland
They're working on the front half of Epcot, and hopefully won't scale it back too much due to the pandemic. They also are redoing the nighttime spectacular at Epcot, which apparently includes daytime enhancements such as fountains out on the lake, I believe.
That's pretty good, I think. We haven't been to Walt Disney World since 2017, and there is already a ton of new stuff we will experience for the first time when we go in May. Very excited.
Compared to what they have overseas this is really nothing.
Tron is somewhat interesting but certainly not "new" or an original idea, same can be said for Avatar.
I'm talking about true Disney originals. The overseas parks have some incredible attractions, and a few classics done really well. POTC is an example , also a Little Mermaid ride.
I've never been a fan of Epcot, and I don't think they'll do anything to change my mind there at all.
While I agree the fantasyland expansion was nice, there could have been more- Arials Adventure could have been more.
In Studios, the toy storyland really wasn't a whole lot, just two actual rides and IMO that area still pales in comparison to what it could be.
I haven't seen anything come along thats a real "WOW" in a very long time.
I just think that the US parks need a lot more IMAGINATION than they have been putting out.
