Epicurean Expansion
6/4/11 Tomorrowland Terrace at the Magic Kingdom is now open for Lunch daily until June 11, 2011. The seasonal restaurant is currently serving such entrées as burgers, lobster rolls, and fried chicken sandwich, beef and blue cheese salad and citrus shrimp salad. On June 7th, 8th, and 10th the restaurant will be open 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm for Dinner.
League of Mermaids
6/4/11 From May 20 to July 2, 2011, The Pirates League in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom is offering a new package for girls. The Mermaid Transformation package includes luminous make-up, nail lacquer, shimmering hair accessory and style, rhinestone face gem and Pirates League Sheath. The package also includes a full-size bottle of Mermaid’s Tears Nail Lacquer and the Pirates of the Caribbean Mini-Nail Lacquer Set. The cost for this limited-time package is $29.95, plus tax.
Teen for Speed
6/4/11 On May 14th, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex announced that teens can now accompany their parent or guardian on the Richard Petty Driving Experience at no additional cost:Who are you going to meet today?Quote:
Racing fans between the ages of 14-19 can now experience the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Disney FREE when accompanying an adult!
6/4/11 On May 29th, the new Phineas and Ferb Meet and Greet Opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios after several weeks of delay. The new meet & greet features a cartoony backdrop of their backyard and many “movie” props from their zany adventures. Although Perry is not part of the Meet & Greet, Guests can spot Agent P out on a mission if they keep their eyes peeled on the main backdrop. The main interactivity comes between the “director” and Guests when they are queued in-between meet & greet sets. When Phineas and Ferb come out to start a set of meet and greets they do a very brief “show” and then begin the meet and greet set. Initial reports from the meet and greet has been that it is very popular and has even reached 60 minute queue times. Meet & Greet sets will be conducted intermittently from 10:30 am – 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
More Memories
6/4/11 Entertainment Cast have reported that The Magic, The Memories, and You nighttime castle show will continue through 2012. The show will reportedly continue to use real Guest photographs as part of the show during the extended run.
Out of Season?
6/4/11 Anaheim Produce on Sunset Blvd. at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has closed for a month long refurbishment. The location closed on May 23rd and will re-open June 25, 2011. At the time of the closure, a reason for the multi-week refurbishment was not cited.
A Sweet Addition
6/4/11 BabyCakes NYC has recently expanded its hours. The Downtown Disney Marketplace snack location is now open from 9:30 am – 11:00 pm daily.
2/27/11 More sweets have recently been added to the Disney Dining Plan. The BabyCakes NYC location at the Downtown Disney Marketplace has recently joined the Disney Dining Plan. Currently, one snack credit may be redeemed for any one of the bakery items. Additionally, Guests may select one of their bakery items as a counter service dessert when redeeming the rest of the counter service meal at the adjacent Pollo Campero or Fresh-A-Peel locations due to the shared register area.
