I just read somewhere that Disney will be offering something called Express Hopper Transportation. Says you can pay a small fee to utilize park hopping on special busses to eliminate having to waste so much time going between parks and stopping at multiple places.
I was wondering if anyone else read this and what the fee is?

Express Transportation service:

We used this service on our last trip, and it is wonderful! Getting to by-pass security and park entrance is a big time saver, and it is fun to get some "backstage" peeks as you travel around.
Plus, we had the most fun & friendly bus drivers. We'll be using again on our upcoming trip.
One note ... if you're buying it at the first "stop", you can't use a MB to pay. A credit card yes, but it can't be charged to the MB.

I want to clarify my understanding of how this works........
To use this, you FIRST have to go thru security and into a park. THEN you can get the transport that keeps you "inside" the security sphere (as in, inside the parks). You can't get this transport directly from a resort on the way TO the first park of the day.
Is that correct?

$29? FINALLY! Disney has offered a service with a reasonable price that most people can afford! I'm completely on board for this!
And I just read that Disney is ending this as of August 23rd. I'm actually rather bummed, I was planning on using it on my trip ... which starts August 23rd.
Just saw the same thing on one of the MJ ladies' FB page. The last day to purchase will be August 19th. Last usable day will be August 23rd.Quote:

Just told my wife about it last night and she loved the idea. Now I have to tell her it will not be available. UGH!
I contacted Disney and let them know that I and others thought is was a GREAT idea. Not specifically for the "express" idea.... but for the idea that the busses were INSIDE THE SECURITY SCREEN and ELIMINATED THE WALK FROM THE BUS STOPS to the gate.
They told me too few people were using it as the reason it was discontinued. I said they didn't wait long enough for it to become known and catch on.
Voice your opinions to them. Might help.
If the Minne Vans were able to work from inside the security area to inside the security area.... THAT would make THEM worth it.
