While holding down the ALT key on your keyboard, press "167" using the keypad on the right side of your keyboard (not the numbers across the top!), then type an "o" or "O" or "0", whichever you prefer, then repeat the ALT-167.

While you're holding down the ALT key, press 167 on the numeric keypad. You don't need to press the 167 at the same time - just make sure you are holding down the ALT key and then press 1-6-7. That should work. ºoº

Off Kilter -

Somebody else had the same problem recently; make sure the NUM LOCK light on your keyboard is lit; if it isn't, hit the NUM LOCK key (right above the 7 on the right-hand keypad) to turn it on.

Are you holding down the ALT key continuously while pressing the 1 - 6 - 7 ? If you let up on the ALT key between numbers, it won't work.

If your NUM LOCK is on, and you're following these steps, it should work. Don't know what to tell you if it still doesn't work.

You are on a PC, and not a Macintosh, aren't you ? {Honestly, I don't know if that makes any real difference or not; I'm totally Mac-illiterate !}

Okay, let's review this:<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI>NUM LOCK light is on;
<LI>You are pressing and holding the ALT key continuously;
<LI>Using the numeric keypad at the right end of your keyboard (NOT the numbers across the top of the keyboard) you're pressing the number 1, then 6, then 7;
<LI>You're then releasing the ALT key;
<LI>You're typing the capital letter O or the number 0 without pressing the ALT key;
<LI>You are again pressing and holding the ALT key continuously;
<LI>Again using the numeric keypad at the right end of your keyboard (NOT the numbers across the top of the keyboard) you're pressing the number 1, then 6, then 7;
<LI>You're then releasing the ALT key again;
<LI>You're still not getting ?0?[/list]
