Happily Ever After to Replace Wishes at Magic Kingdom on May 12, 2017

The Magic Kingdom has announced it will be replacing its long running nighttime fireworks spectacular "Wishes":

“Happily Ever After,” a new nighttime spectacular that will combine the magic of Disney storytelling, beloved Disney characters, fireworks and so much more, will debut at Magic Kingdom Park on May 12.

The spectacular will inspire guests to seek out and find their own “Happily Ever After” by showcasing some of the greatest adventures Disney characters have taken to achieve their dreams. The show will feature the latest fireworks and pyrotechnics and original animation, plus a heart-tugging original score. Oh no! I don't like change! Lol. I really love Wishes and will be sad to see it go. I am so happy I will get to see Wishes again before its gone. May have to see it a few times on upcoming trip.

I've always likes Wishes but looking forward to something new. Looks like I won't be back to WDW until 2019 but I have seen Wishes enough that I don't need to say good-bye to it!

It makes me wonder if they will keep Hallowishes for Not So Scary. That one is always great!

That was one of my thoughts too, Nikki.

I think the the incorporation of the projection technology could make the holiday versions even more enhanced.

I'm with everyone else. I LOVE Wishes, and will be a bit sad to see it go, but am excited for a new show. I hope it is wonderful!

I know people loved Wishes but it really was time for it to go... The musical score to this new show sounds pretty cool... Looking forward to it... Now, how about a new night time parade?
