I know that Cherry Tree Lane and the SE refurb are delayed indefinitely (cancelled) and that there was an announcement about rethinking the festival center...is there any new news beyond this?

The current buzz (ha ha, get it?), sorry, is they are still for sure doing the Guardians Ride..the Space Themed rest. and of course, Ratatouille. I think the majority of things are still up in the air. Whatever happens, if anything, will probably be scaled back compared to what we were hoping.

Construction still appears to be active for the Play pavilion, however; highly "interactive" exhibits seem less likely to be opened in the immediate future based on the park's current social distancing and contact reduction policies. The new pavilion is still being advertised on construction walls, but when has significantly advertising a project stopped Disney from canceling it before.
The "spine" greenification project seems likely to continue as well, but perhaps on a smaller scale. The quick service restaurant and new centerpiece store seem to still be going forward as planned, but the rest of the overall project seems more uncertain (Moana water trail, festival center, new club cool, etc). It seems like all of the gardens should also be a go (potentially even expanded to fill in some of the canceled/delayed venues), but these are not really visible through construction permits or other indicators.
thanks for updates. i will see how things look in a few weeks. sorta glad i will still get to ride SE. Epcot is my fav and while i dont like some of the plans, getting some drinks at F&W may help .
