When we were at WDW in August a few years ago I used a BanDoo and it worked very well. Never slimey, stayed wet and cool a long time, and came in a variety of colours.
  3. Character Interaction

I've really enjoyed reading about your interaction with the characters. You write well, too.

And, on a side note, you piqued my curiosity so I looked up Saddleback bags. I want one! Seriously,...

    Planning DVD

I wish they'd have Dave on the planning DVD again.

"Try out the benches. They're included in the price of admission."

It was the only way I was able to get two tired kids from one end of EPCOT...

    unknown classics

Another vote for Worst Witch. My kids loved it.

And my "unknown classic" is - Robinson Crusoe on Mars.

Also, Hot Millions - Peter Ustinov, Maggie Smith, Bob Newhart.

    Gluten Free

I've just been diagnosed with celiac disease and was wondering if anyone has experience with eating gluten free at Disney.

I have a year to figure this out before my next tentative trip, but I...

    August

We were there in August 2010. I told my kids before we went that there certain non-negotiables: hats, sunscreen, and water bottles.

I wore a Bandoo, a neck cloth with water absorbing beads in...

  9. Swollen Legs

    Here's another possible treatment.

When I was pregnant my ankles got HUGE. My doctor told me that a good treatment is a swimming pool or hot tub (no hot tub when you're pregnant). As long as you...

    Leg Cramps

    Two ideas.

    1) Avoid caffeine in the evening.
    2) Have your iron levels checked.

I had leg cramps when I was anemic. Iron pills got rid of them.

    Children and Grief

When the time comes, perhaps a book could help.

A book that I found helpful for my daughters when my mom died was Badger's Parting Gifts by Susan Varley.

    2005 Video -the Best!

Dave saved my life! I was at Epcot with two exhausted kids when I remembered Dave from that year's video. "Hey, girls, there's a bench. Let's try it out like Dave said."

    Bench by bench we made...

    High School Reunions and Age

My 40th will be in 5 years. I went to the 10 year reunion, but as others have said I've kept in touch with the people I want to.

    As for age:

Inside every old person is a young person wondering...

    Visits to WDW

    August and Tour Groups

We were there last August (August 15 -25) and we didn't see a single tour group.

That's the only time we've been in August, so I don't know how reliable my one time observation is.

    Airfare

Yes, it hurts doesn't it? Cross-border hopping to get a cheaper fare isn't an option for me (I like in Edmonton).

    On the...
