Our local paper recently had an article about the "living wage" vs. minimum wage and what truly is a minimum livable wage here in our area.
Current Minimum Wage: $5.15 per hour (Same as Federal)...

We were there the exact same dates and I totally agree. With more and more schools out thru the 8th/9th of January the crowds were still very heavy.
I think the Marathon in 2008 is actually a...

2 years in a row we have flown into MCO and then rented a car to visit the inlaws for a week. We then returned to MCO where we caught ME to our resort.
Call ME, let them know the scenario. What...

We brought our own pillows.
We did request extra towels and coffee supplies as what was provided was not enough for us.
Had no issues with the bar soaps but did bring our own...

My teen DS has had the charging privledges on our last 2 visits, he really likes the freedom it gives him.
I regularly called our resort to pay off the balance with the CC they keep on file so as...

I took my inlaws while everyone else was at Blizzard Beach. We really enjoyed it and found it fascinating. I wish I had taken the kids as I think they would also have enjoyed it.
You can also...

I like the last dinner idea - what about getting one of the divers at Coral Reef to come into the tank and hold up the sign that announces where they are going next.
We are surprising our kids...

Since you have lots of ideas for the parks I thought I would throw in our thoughts on the POFQ food court.
We really enjoyed the food court and actually ate here often. We found it to be tasty,...

Myself, DS & DD wore our Athens for almost our entire 9 day WDW trip - they were by far the most comfy and we all had a pair of Asics Gels athletic shoes also but prefered our Athens.

Love, Love, Love my Athens - I don't like the regular Crocs ( I have the Caymens and find them uncomfortable) but I love these.
My DS has plantar fascitis and during the summer he is a lifeguard...

This is not the first time the show has done something like this. Personally I found it touching. I like it when the race coordinators have some sort of task that makes the teams pause for a minute...

In January the resort boat was different from the DTD boat.
The resort boat pulls into Marketplace only and you get off or return to the resorts. It did not stop at PI or WestSide.
From...

I don't have the Volo but I do have a MacLaren Opus (I think, we bought it in 1999 for 1st WDW trip with DD) we brought it back with us last year when DD was 7 and about 60#'s or so. Sure, she...

We did WDW for the Turn of the Century - there were 36 of us.
Recently we have had in-laws join us on our trips.
My best advice is to: Plan together things and not together things. Everyone...

I do think it is appropriate to say something. I am not talking about a rant or scold but a reminder.
"Please wait your turn"
"The line starts back there"
"excuse me, that is not appropriate...

I would never touch an unknown kid unless it was a danger issue - caught a kid falling out of a shopping cart once.
However, I have no issue using the firm parent voice and telling a child to...

It's a hike - especially with tired feet - you can however take a water taxi from Marketplace to PI and also to West Side - much nicer and easier on the tootsies

I took a pair of Croc Caymens and Croc Athens. I did not like the Caymens at all, my feet ached at the end of the 1st day and I found that I needed socks with them I didn't like the way they "stuck"...
-
I finally found them locally - DD got her 1st one yesterday, she got the Elephant and is so excited. We got her all set up, printed out the Birth Certificate and everything. I ordered her a cow...

I agree with ebay - I picked up about 100 pins prior to our Dec/Jan trip. I paid about $3.25 on average but I bought pins that were sold in sets/lots of 10 & under. I stayed away from the "lots"...
