Pappy needs his own magical experience..help please.

Our dd 2 is having her grandparents come along on her trip this October and besides living it up with his granddaughter what else do ya'll suggest we do for the grandfather (pappy) that would be relaxing for him besides sleeping most the day away in his room! We don't want to wear him down everyday!

What does he like to do?

For an active grand-dad:
* Richard Petty Driving experience or ride along
* Dolphin experience in Epcot
* Segway Tour

For a more sedentary grand-dad:
* Train tour
* Massage at a spa

Everyone is different. My sister talks about the time she took my parents to WDW just after their 50th anniversary, and my dad enjoyed Space Mountain....born and raised in Brooklyn (Red Hook), he used to brag about being on the Cyclone the first day it opened on Coney Island.

When our kids were young, we twice went to WDW with my in-laws. My FIL loved POTC and HM, but wouldn't try SM or BTMRR.....

My kids and grandkids go with me on all of the rides, as soon as they are tall enough. I will be 67 on our next trip, and expect to do all the rides with them again.....several times.

My DGD 6 has been doing Splash Mtn since she was 4, and loves it....DGS 9 will try any ride....and it is more fun if we all try it! DGD 14 has been my side kick for early entry for years. Some Grandpa's love the attractions.

If "Pappy" is more like my father and I, he would prefer to do the parks and the rides.....either with family, or on his own. If he is more like my FIL, let him wander back and forth between Rose and Crown and Beirgarten!

I also enjoy doing EPCOT on my own, if the rest have other plans. Great thing about WDW is that everything is age compatable....

Does he like to fish? If so, you could treat him to a morning of guided fishing. When we stayed at the WL there were alot of fishermen heading out in the mornings. I am looking into this for my DH. This may be something that is relaxing for him to enjoy!

How about a nice boat ride over to Ft Wilderness Campground. Set in the shade and watch the marina/lake activities, rocking chairs at the General Store or walk around to barn where all the Clydesdales and Morgans are kept?
Another is setting outside at Wilderness Lodge and watching Old Faithful and all the pool activity.

rent a scooter that is from a third party(info section has some phone numbers). had one in May for my mom was a great help.

Rent a boat and tool around for a half-hour or hour.

Play a round of mini-golf or a round of golf.

My parents always travel with myself and my 2 teens. My father is 78 and he actually is my daughters riding partner on most rides He does EE, and all of the MK Mountains. We just try and pace him and he will find a bench every now and then.
That being said your DD is 2 so I would assume you will spend more time in Fantasyland and Toon Town. I'm sure the him seeing the reaction on his grand daughters face as she experiences WDW will keep him going.
If he is a veteran of the Armed Services you could try and sign him up for the Veteran for a Day Flag Ceremony at the MK!!! We did this for my father last year and he still talks about it to anybody who will listen.
