Default What is your favorite breakfast item(other than Tonga toast) at the Poly?

We will be staying at the Poly. for the first time in Dec. My husband hates bananas so I know he won't like the Tonga Toast I hear so much about. We don't want to eat at a buffet, but other than that we are open to suggestions. I would love to hear what your favorite breakfast item is and why you like it.

Oh - my daughter is a big coffee drinker...where is the best place to get coffee at the Poly?
    Thanks for your help!

DH and I are Tonga Toast fans but also like the breakfast sandwich at Captain Cook's (bacon, egg & cheese on croissant). We are not coffee drinkers, so I'm afraid I can't help with that. Have fun!!

I actually don't care for bananas either, but loved the Tonga Toast. This time, though, I'm going to try the macadamia nut pancakes everything has been talking about!

Kona Cafe also has great coffee--the pressed pot. I also think the Poly has a coffee bar--someone will have to post who knows more.

I'm trying to remember what DH had last time at Kona for breakfast. Is there something called the Big Kahuna with a variety of things? He loved it whatever it was!

And if you get tired of the Poly, take the monorail over to the GF. I hear their breakfast is really good, too. Enjoy!

We will be having breakfast for the first time at Kona's on Thanksgiving day. Even tho we've stayed at the Poly many times, we usually stay club level and have their offerings at breakfast time.
I feel like I have to get the Tonga toast because I've been reading about it for Years! But what is it anyway? Is it deep fried and heavy? I'd love more details, because the macadamia nut pancakes sound even better to me!

I've had the Big Kahuna before and it's great: eggs, bacon, pancakes, french toast, potatoes--delicious!

I was just there on Saturday so I can honestly say the steak & eggs at Kona Cafe. And the awesome coffee. Ahhhh. I can almost taste it now...
