I just came across this info:

21 August 2008: Disney offering incentives for Disney Dining Plan guests to go quick service during September

Guests on the Disney Dining Plan or Disney Deluxe Dining Plan who choose to dine in Quick Service locations using their Table Service entitlements between August 24 and September 27, 2008, will receive from the Quick Service Restaurant cashier a Disney Dining Plan Snack or Merchandise Certificate. The certificate can be redeemed for:

- Two snacks, both redeemed at the same time and at the same participating location. Redeemable at any Quick Service or Outdoor Foods location or participating Merchandise locations.

or

- One Sling Mesh Bag.
Valid at one of the participating merchandise locations listed on the back of the certificate.

Considering the price difference between CS & TS they should offer 2 CS in place of a TS instead of 2 snacks.

1) Ah, c'mon, you know what PT Barnum was alleged to have said.
2) After all, look at all the people who use TS coupons for
. . . breakfast
. . . character meals
. . . dinner shows
. . . most lunches

That is great news since I am not interested in table service meals during free dining.
