    Question Better rate for Polynesian?

I'm a WDW veteran, but I usually use my DVC points when booking a room, so I don't have much experience with finding good deals for Disney properties. Next Summer we are spending a week at the Polynesian resort and paying cash. According to WDW's website, the rate for a garden view is $355 per night. Is there any way to get a better deal than that?

We are annual passholders, DVC members, AAA members, and cannot be flexible on dates, and do not want a package. And I also don't want to wait till the last minute. Is there any hope of saving some money? Thanks is advance.

We have used AAA as well and were able to get a discount (10% or 15% I think). It was listed as $399/night but we got it for $349/night through AAA. Also - I know for example they just came out with some "room only" discounts for a short time frame. Happened to be the time frame we were there, but by the time my TA called to get us a cheaper rate (garden view listed at $285/night) all the rooms they set aside for that were already gone. So it didn't really help us any. You may find something here and there, but I rarely see any big discounts for the Poly far in advance. Good luck!

Try contacting Magical Journeys. If there is a better deal, they will find it for you!!

Unfortunately I think your deterent is "I don't want to wait until the last minute"

The only advance discount that I'm aware of would be the AAA discount, and that's assuming they have rooms available at those rates.

The other main options, AP discounts and general public discounts wouldn't be announced until closer to your actual travel dates.

I think your options are fairly limited.

Yeah, so it seems like my best option so far is the AAA rate. I didn't even the realize that the $355 rate is before taxes and fees, so its worse than I thought.

However, this trip is for my 20th wedding anniversary, and the last time I stayed at Polynesian was on my honeymoon, so it's worth it.

My suggestion would be to book with Magical Journey's now. They can book a AAA room only rate (I'm pretty sure). Then, if another discount should happen they are on top of it before you even know it's there...you'll find out after they've saved you money that they saved you money.

    I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Magical Journey's!
    I LOVE DISNEY WORLD!!!!!
A dream is a wish your heart makes and mine came true when I retired here in December 2014! I go to a park at least once a week!

I would really go the Magical Journey route because they will add any discounts that come down the pipe as they appear so you might get lucky.
