Pinocchio's Marionette Garden Party

I saw this listed at Magic Kingdom as a character meet and greet. Has anyone gone to this? What characters were there? I will be there the first week of May and hope they will still be meeting, as I would love to meet Jiminy Cricket and Stromboli. Any info is appreciated and pics would be great!

A Marionette Meet

2/13/09 The Magic Kingdom has unveiled a new Meet and Greet location to promote the 70th Anniversary and Platinum Edition DVD of Pinocchio. The Tour Garden next to City Hall has been transformed into Pinocchio’s Marionette Garden Party and features a themed back-drop and themed banners. Pinocchio is scheduled to appear at this location intermittently from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm each day. The duration for this Meet and Greet location has yet to be announced, but it is reasonable to assume it will continue at least until March 10th-- The release date for the Platinum Edition DVD of Pinocchio.

Let me tell you all what I don't understand about this meet and greet an the entertainment department in general. For a special meet and greet event like this, why can you only meet Pinocchio? I understand budget cuts, but there are so many spare entertainment cast members who just sit there all day getting paid waiting to see if they have to go onstage. Why not utilize these cast members to bring out more characaters from Pinocchio for the special meet and greet?

You can use a photo posting site and post a link directly to the picture or e-mail them to a moderator of the forum and they can post them as attachments.

Darn, well maybe there will be another special meet and greet for the Snow White re-release. I'm hoping for some Old Hag/Evil Queen action!

It was really cute when we were there in March but . . . they could have done so much more! I was a little bummed that some of the other characters were not there as well. It would have been perfect. There was a velvet backdrop and lots of wooden marionette banners. Here are my girls.
