VMK Unleashed?

So, I heard through the grapevine that VMK may return!

Well, sort of...

I don't know any details yet (other than I know it's not Disney running the game, but a company called Falling Star Productions), but just wanted to share with y'all.

The game isn't 'live' yet, so start thinking about dusting off those VMK names (long live DotRocks!)...

So is this a Disney game run by another comp. I have sign up as GenieJafar.

Looking into it, it's not run by a company at all. I was searching around and at one point it was written "maybe you could get some adults who like VMK to be moderaters during school"

Essentially, this kid that owns the site is coding the entire game using edited screen shots I believe. Honestly, I don't know how it would turn out. A good idea I had is a lot of us on Intercot play during the day also, so we could request to become moderators during the day if we wanted to. Me, I am going to wait to see how the game turns out before I associate myself that heavily.

They are taking beta sign ups right now. Currently their server gets maxed out at 5 players and shuts down. It's a good point to bring up in that to have the thousands of players that VMK did, you would need a hugggeeee server. But, if you are interested in beta testing this early, shoot an email over to them and see what happens.

OK Let me correct myself here. I though I had sign up for it but only thing I did was sign up in there message board like this one. So I'm not sign up in the game yet now looking at it. I will wait to send you guys are not to sure about it.

Disney is not likely going to tell some teens to go ahead and make a game using their parks reputation.

I had my hopes up for a moment at the thought of a VMK reunion of sorts...

It may promote Disney to do some re-opening of their own though seeing that the public really misses this game

Yeah the thought of VMK returning got the better of me too before I looked deeper into it. I thought maybe Disney had come to their senses

And the inevitable occured!

Drayton and I have come up to a really big issue with the DIG "Disney Internet Group." Apparently we have just found out that Disney has been watching us and are waiting for us to go live with VMK in order to sue us with a contingency to pursue. It is looking like we cannot open the game May 21st without a written contract from the WDIG branch of The Walt Disney Company.

We need your support, WDIG has constantly been ignorning our reports on a simple adequate contract to keep this up. We need you guys to be calling them and getting work done. The last thing I want is for this game not to happen...

The worst case senario is we have to remake everyroom by ourselfs and no one wants that.....

So please help so we can get this game out May 21st!!!

If Disney hadn't closed vmk down in the first place we wouldn't be having this problem. It's Disney's fault. They should have seen this as a window of opportunity to reopen vmk back up but did they? Nooooo.
