Exclamation A Word About Spoilers (Please Read)

I just wanted to remind everyone to be careful not to include unmarked spoilers when you post. They ruin the fun for everyone, especially when the information you have posted is not properly labeled as a spoiler.

But what is a spoiler, you ask? That's a very good question (trust me on that). A spoiler is:

    - any information on the outcome of a television show that has not yet aired. This could be anything from knowing the winner of American Idol a few minutes before anyone else, to knowing the outcome of a taped show, such as Survivor.

    - information that will ruin the outcome of a show that is not common knowledge. For instance, if you know how Lost ends (maybe it all turns out to be a really long Driveshaft song?), please don't just post that information without any warning. Maybe you could post that you know, and if others want to know, they can send you a private message.

    - any changes in casting. If someone is leaving the show, that will most likely influence the outcome of their character.

Also, there should be no spoilers in the title of a thread. The title of a thread should reveal no secrets whatsoever, even if it is from a show that has already aired. We don't want to discourage people from visiting the forum. However, you may post any information you have learned while watching a show in the corresponding thread, and it will not be considered a spoiler. Whew!

If you feel you absolutely must post a spoiler, please follow these steps:

    1. Find the [color] scroll box located at the top of your message screen.

    2. Scroll to the bottom and click on white.

    3. A dialogue box will appear. This is where you type your spoiler.

When completed, your post should look something like this:

"The loser of tonight's American Idol will be Sayid."

If you want to read a spoiler, just click at the start of the white void, hold down your mouse, and scroll to the end. Give it a try!

Regarding discussion of TV shows that have already aired on the east coast, but not yet on the west coast, see here for clarification. Please feel free to discuss in the appropriate thread (most popular shows have their own thread) after it has aired on the east coast. But west coasters be warned - don't enter before the show airs locally, or ya might be spoiled.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
