    Default How many Disney pins?

I recently gathered a total count of my Disney trading pins and found i have 108. That's a bit more than I thought, but it blew most of my family away. My mom was the only one not really surprised because she's really the only one that understands and shares my Disney World mania. I got to thinking how much money is put out towards Disney pins by individuals and I wondered how many pins other people have.
So, I am asking how many Disney trading pins you, a family member, or a friend have.

Actually not that many--probably about fifteen. I tend to buy one each trip lately, but didn't get into it much at first. Now I impulsively buy something special, and wear them occasionally, but I don't really trade or officially collect. Just enjoy them.

Oh my...let's see...probably closer to 150, maybe more. I really haven't counted them all.
Our local newspaper even did a story about my then 10 yr-old DD's pin collection hobby. She's 16 now, so, there's no tellin how many she has!

Yeah I just have the ones (plus a few for trading) that I really like, so maybe 20 or so, tops.

I have just over 200. I found some cloth one day at a wal-mart. It has one inch squares. One square is blank and the other has a mickey. So each of the blanks has a pin in it. The cloth looks like one of the banners that hangs from a trumpet with the pointed ends. There are two of them each holding just over 100 pins. I will be rolling them up and be putting them on our window at POP on our next visit.

We have about 200 we keep and we'll be taking at least 200 to trade. We buy lots on ebay and trade those.

Not too many, maybe 20 or 25. I think it's fun just to buy the ones I like. However, I have been getting into buying those mystery pouches. I think its so exciting to see what you got, and for the ones that are duplicates or that I don't really want to try to get the whole set I try to trade those. I don't really know if that is a good strategy, but it is fun and I guess that's all that really matters!

I always swore that I would never get caught up in this because it would be too easy to get out of hand. When I crashed I crashed hard. We cancelled ADR to LeCellier, reworked our plans for that trip and bought tickets to MVMCP to be able to get the special pins only available at those parties. That being said since December 08 I am up to 124 not including trades (very few of them though). My wife has 138.

I didn't feel too bad though there was a man in line the night of MVMCP who told us that he had to buy a suitcase one year in order to bring home the pins he had purchased.

Oh man...I have no idea. Personally, I think that I only have around 30ish...all Stitch. However, there are five people in our family, and my wife buys 300 pins off eBay before our WDW trip every year just to trade. So, I know that the family has a few hundred pins on our lanyards, in bags, etc, etc.

    Red face Almost too many!

I just returned from a DCL trip a week ago. I counted my pins upon my return and I have 647 pins at this time. I'm more of a collecter than a trader. I do keep about 50 or so commons with me for trading but the rarer ones are not for trade as it was so hard to get my hands on them in the first place. It was a surprise to me when I was voted as having the best pin collection onboard the Disney Wonder. I didn't expect that at all and it was really nice to be recognized for something I've worked so hard on over the years. I've been trading and collecting since 1996.

Oh Boy, I haven't counted...I'm afraid to know! My DH put a shelf in my glass top coffee table and lined it with cork board so I could display my Chip & Dale pins. It works great and is a real conversation starter. If I counted them and let him know...well, we don't want to go there!

I have around 100, not including traders. After a couple of years of my collecting, my DW and kids finally got hooked in to it on our cruise. We're heading to Orlando early July and they can't wait to start trading again.

I use a shadow box to display my pins. I pulled the backing off, and put in a corkboard we had laying around, then glued the backing onto the corkboard.

Does anyone use pinpics to track their collection?

I'm sure I have over 100 WDW pins in total, although I've never counted them. These are in addition to the well over 50 Hard Rock Cafe pins I also have.
