Default Bronx Zoo Trip May 16th

On Saturday I took a trip over to the Bronx Zoo with my cousin and her twin boys. After getting lost in the Bronx for about 40 minutes (Thanks Mapquest and Tom Tom). We had a great time spent abbout 5 hours at the zoo exploring all the exhibits. They have a great Jungle Monorail Ride and an awesome Gorilla Exhibit. I saw one of the funniest things I have ever seen at a zoo, the baby giraffe was trying to eat the Peacocks Feathers and didn't know what to make of it. It was quite funny to watch. As you will see from my pictures I am a big fan of the old Zoo buildings which all have new exhibits in them now but have the great sculptures on the outside.

    Enjoy the pictures!

Sounds like a fun day! Sure beats my day of yard work and cleaning.

I love the buildings.. I have got to get down there for a visit some day.
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

The Bonx Zoo is a definite must see if you are visiting the area. It's hard to believe you are in the middle of the Bronx when inside the Zoo. In this respect it almost has WDW escapism type feeling. The exhibits are really well done and very interesting. It's also pretty reasonable with prices it was $27 for an adult with the total experience since some exhibits cost extra this is the best deal. I also got a t-shirt and hat combo for $20.

Just because I cannot see it, doesn't mean I can't believe it!
