Saucony sneakers, I will never buy another brand, now I have my husband and kids wearing them too!!!! They are the most comfortable sneakers you will ever wear, once you buy a pair, you will never buy another brand. That's what the clerk told me when I bought my very first pair and she was so right!!!

I've been wearing Tevas for years... They dry like nobody's business and are light and offer great circulation. Three things CRITICAL in the hot Florida summers.

There are lots of good brands, and it may depend on your age, etc. I know Rockport makes some very comfortable walking shoes. I actually wore my Avia jogging shoes on my last trip as they are very light. It worked out great and I'll take them again in July. Just make sure they are comfortable and lightweight. For what its worth, I wore a pedometer on our last trip and we walked anywhere from 8-13 miles each day. So good shoes are a must.

I love my Brooks Ariel. They are available in wide widths and do not need to be broken in before walking long distances.

i wear crocs in Disney. I know they look silly, but every trip i wear them and i can walk forever and my feet don't hurt and neither do my calves. My Dh DD and DS all wear NB and they complain about something - but not me

Call me crazy, but I live in comfy flip flops (Adidas are awesome) at WDW. I am used to walking in them so they aren't a problem at the end of the day. Also, I prefer sandals over sneakers in case of rain... walking in wet socks and sneakers is my least favorite thing to do.

I do tennis shoes for the most part (got a new pair in nov - so I am breaking them in for the next 46 days until our trip). I am a flip flop person big time...so I usually swap back and forth - but only when we are not at a park a long time - like if we go back in the evening I might wear flip flops - and yes, I bring my army green crocs too.....they work out well...

I too wear flip flops and/or soccer slides. My feet always seem to hurt if I wear my running shoes longer than just a workout. I also like the air circulation when it's hot!

Merrell makes the most comfortable shoes. I highly recommend them!

I second the motion for CROCS. But only the REAL CROCS...the other brands just aren't the same for whatever reason.

I recently tried the Skechers shape ups and they felt REALLY comfy but I'm not sure I'd go for them Disney for the reason that...they can get wet. Wet sneakers well...uhmm...err... well you know.... But the Skechers are really springy.

I used to always go for sneakers but...in the long run...lately...I have to go with CROCS especially NEW ones. If you plan on going on "water rides" your feet will get wet and then you'll be walking around with wet shoes all day. With CROCS it doesn't matter. It also rains in Florida daily...your sneakers...will get wet.

    My vote...CROCS

Are you a male or female?? If you are female then I would recommend you snugger if you are looking fro style. And if you want something simple and comfy then Ugg boots will be great for you. If you are male then sorry I don't know about male as I never shop for them.

Whatever shoes you take, make sure you have them broken in before you go. New shoes might rub a blister and believe me..a blister at WDW when you walk 4000 miles a day is not fun.

I have three different styles of CROCS that I alternate. I try not to wear the same shoe every day of the trip because then my feet get sore in the same spot. I have the flip flop style CROCS, the mary janes, and the ballerina flats. My husband bought the flip flop style and he swears by them now. My mom has an issue wearing mary janes for a long distance. She says she doesn't like that they feel loose (they're supposed to). She definitely prefers tennis shoes. If I was going to wear tennis shoes I'd take my Sauconys.

Every time this questions is asked I say the same thing (at least as long as I've owned these shoes). My favorite shoe is the Birki's Caribbean Sandal. It's light weight, has fabulous support and doesn't absorb water because of the material from which it's made. You can find these shoes on a website called solesolution. It's the BEST shoe I've ever worn to the parks and I go almost monthly.

I'm a flip flop guy as well. However, after reading the post it looks like a lot of different brands are recommended, but I haven't read anything about socks. I think a good pair of thin lightweight dri fit socks will really make a difference. If you are going the sneaker route, make sure you get a couple pairs of good athletic socks so your feet can breathe. This will make a huge difference.
