    Default ECV and Wilderness Lodge

A friend and I are planning our spring break 2011 trip. We will be staying at WL. There will be 2 adults/2 tweens (11&12).

Will there be enough room for all of us and the ECV? I will also have my rollator with us. Will they keep the ECV at bell services over night to charge it? Will it fit in the elevators?

    Thanks in advance,
    Marci

    Unhappy

We found Wilderness Lodge rooms to be very cramped with my ECV and there was just the 2 of us. The place in the room we had to leave it overnight for the battery charging completely blocked off the use of the balcony. If someone would have been using the bed closest to the balcony they would have been able to only get into and out of the bed by using the one side between the beds. Maybe this is not true in all rooms. Because of the room we got and lack of space for the ECV, we will never be staying at WL again.
As for their keeping the ECV down in bell services and charging the battery, I never thought to ask about that. Please let us know if this would be an option.

Yes, you can leave the ECV with bell services overnight. There is only 2 issues though that I can think of. One would be that you can't guarantee that it is getting charged for you. The second one being that sometimes people have found that their ECV was given to someone else. Bell Services couldn't be bothered to check the name on the scooter and just gave the first one they saw to another guest.

I would see about maybe leaving it in the hall close to your room. I have seen people do this, especially in alcoves out of the way.
    Can I go "home" yet?

I wouldn't leave in the hall...no plug to charge and no guarantee it'll be there in the morning. I see people drive them into the value rooms, can't understand not enough room in a deluxe. Bring an extension cord for better placement in room.

If you do bring an extension cord, be sure it is a heavy-duty one that will accomodate the grounded cord.

As for the Value room, I had a lot of issues with having the ECV in our room at Pop, and along with the bus situation, it's one of the main reasons I really do not want to ever stay there again.

i have stayed at the pop and AL and have had no problem w/ an evc. it's crowded, sure. but i'm never in the room that much to care anyway. we always left it out in the hall w/ no key. and right before bed we bring it in.
