    Thumbs up

The bus service is very good at POP. We like it because you don't share a bus with any other resort. The times we have stayed there, we have only had to wait an average of 5-10 minutes for a bus at the resort. The longest waits are at the parks at closing, but at least you don't have to drive from resort to resort waiting to get off the bus when your feet hurt and you are so tired! Like I said, the Davis family gives the POP bus service !

I didn't much like it. Honestly, I had a bad experience with the buses there (over a long weekend in late September, a few years ago).

My main gripe with it is that the wait is outside with NO COVER from the elements. Not being able to wait out of the sun or rain really made me not like it at all! I am used to Mods and Deluxes, which have covered bus stops, most with benches and/or ceiling fans. As long as you are prepared for that, the bus service is adequate, given the size of the resort.

We found the bus service at Pop excellent! Hope you have the same experience

Pop is our favorite value...and most times no issues with the bus service...only once we waited at the MK...after MNSSHP...for over an hour. Yep, it is in the full sun, but if it's not busy there are benches under cover back away from the line...you will just have to board after the people in the line board. We'll be there in 22 days....HURRAY

I have stayed at a Pop a few times and have always found the Bus Service to be very good. I stayed at the Cotnemporary and AKL recently adn i will say the bus service at Pop was better than both of those. Of course I always the bus service at any resort is very hit or miss because I have also people who have complaine dat the service at Pop and raved about the bus service at AKL.

We prefer Pop for our stays (We're cheap!!! Would rather spend money for Park Tickets than the room!) I would have to say that over the past 7 or 8 years, the bus system serving Pop has gotten much better -- At the resort itself, the waits are not, generally, very long between buses and, if not first thing in the morning, the lines are generally manageable. -- At the parks, the only times we have had major waits has been at park closings, but in the past few years they have learned to 'stack' buses - have two loading at one time....AND the last time we were down, they used an open bus queue at MK (which will probably be used for the Art of Animation Resort when it opens) to 'stack' two more Pop buses! -- At Downtown Disney, I don't think there is any rhyme or reason as to how the buses run...You may get two or three buses in 5 minutes, or you might have a 45 minute wait for ONE bus!!! But, I have seen that for most of the resort bus queues at DTD.

Remember, Pop Century has 2,880 rooms, so even if you figure an average of only 2.5 people per room, that's a lot of people during busy seasons (if the hotel is full or near full, that's easily over 7,000 guests). The bus pickup can be crowded first thing in the mornings (just like the food court). But given the number of guests and the fact that the buses are the only mode of Disney transportation to and from Pop, I think they do a very good job. We usually leave the resort very early in the a.m. before park opening, and that strategy beats most of the rush. On the other end, getting back to Pop from MK can be a pain if you are leaving right at the park closing time with everybody else. WE take our time leaving the park and so usually the wait at MK is not bad. At all other times of the day, bus service from and back to Pop is very good.

We have stayed at Pop only once, but found the bus service to be very good. We had excellent weather, so waiting for a bus without a cover was not a problem. The one day we were going to DHS, we had a longer wait in the morning, but did not exceed 20 minutes. That evening we left the park before Fantasmic! so we missed the crowds, although I seem to remember the bus stop for Pop being very far away from the park exit. Another morning we had an early ADR at Chef Mickey's and the bus driver was kind enough to take us directly to the Contemporary, which was nice. That evening we stayed in MK very late, past midnight, and the bus was not crowded at all on the way back. We never had to stand or had to deal with overcrowding on the buses during our stay. Overall, we were pleased with the service provided.

We were just there this past Jan/Feb and the bus service was excellent. We ALWAYS stay at the parks until closing, and there were throngs of people at the bust stops, but the buses continuously came two at a time. It never took long to be on a bus and on our way back to the POP.

We found the bus service at POP excellent. Never had to wait very long at all. They were always on time in the morning and never a long wait to get back to the resort at night.

Went for our first Disney trip in August 2008 (2nd week) and the pop buses were great. Never waited longer than 10-15 minutes and I think that was either at DTD or at the end of the night at MK. They even brought in a Meers bus the night we were at MK so there wasn't much wait. That is what I love about pop.
We were going to go to POR this year, but after reading about sharing buses we are sticking with Pop.
DH is humoring the Disney nut. I really thought 2008 would be our only trip, YEAH!!!

We were there in January and it was fine, plenty of busses, however uncovered standing area.......I can imagine how crazy it will be in the summer months.....

to me the worst part is the standing in the sun waiting for a bus..... when we stayed there in July we couldn't wait to get to a park to "Cool" off - standing in the morning sun waiting for the bus to come is terrible! It was so nice to stay at POR and have a covered area to wait in. As far as how frequent the buses are, it all depends on timing - sometimes we had great timing and other times not, but I think all the resorts can be that way.

I am hoping that they are good. The last times we stayed at the other All star resorts it was not a good experience for our family. I am banking on this being better as they have their own buses. I have read here and where I posted about a month ago and it seems to be a hope worth having on this resort. I would suggest taking customer service number with you in your phone just in case you get stuck and they need to send reinforcements..lol.

Pop has been fine for us. It has improved over the years. They do using standing room like most city buses.
