Default Moving luggage between resorts without a car?

My BF and I are staying at OKW for a Sunday through Thursday and then moving to POR-Riverside for two nights.

Does anyone know if Disney will transfer our luggage for us. We will not have a car and I was hoping we won't have to schlep it on the bus.

Disney will transfer your luggage for you. This is a great service, It saves us the time and effort of lugging the stuff to the car and out again once we reach the new resort.

When you get to your next resort just call bell services and let them know that you are there. You can also tell them at check in that your luggage was transferred. It does take some time, don't expect it until some time in the afternoon if you are transferring in the morning.

It is totally worth it to do it through bell services! I would agree that it does take some time, but less than doing it yourself. The last time I did this, it took about 30mins for the pick up from the time I called until the bags were picked up. It probably depends on resort and crowd levels as to when it will arrive. We got ours before 1pm, but it was slow at our arriving hotel. It all went beyond smoothly!

Yes disney will transfer your bags for you but just be aware that it often takes a while for them to get to your next resort. I have done this 3 different times and both times it took a lot longer than Bell Services told me it would. The first time I was transferring from Pop to AKL and I was told my bags would be there by 2PM, The bags did not arrive until after 6 PM which normally would have been fine but I needed my Jacket and sweatshirt before heading to MVMCP. Another time was heading from AKL to Pop and the bags didn't arrive until after 5 PM when I was told 4 PM. Finally when Transferring from OKW to CSR they actually lost the bags and I had to call a few times to any sort of action my bags arrived around 9 PM which had me quite worried since I was there for a conference and had my work Laptop with me. So my advice would be makes sure you have everything you need for the day with you in a carry-on and go check-in at your next resort before heading out for the day.

We did this on our last trip, moving from Movies to CBR. The luggage was at the hotel by the time we went back to rest when our room was ready.

We've done it four or five times. Ask the Bell staff to give you a approximate time for arrival at the new hotel. The last time our bags took longer than expected. I think it takes four hours, Disney must have a van which goes around and drops of bags. We went form the Poly to the BC and they told us they would be there after 2:00 PM this was after we gave them the bags at 9:00 AM. When we arrived at BC it took awhile to get the bags out of storage.
A good thing to do is take a picture of your baggage tags just incase they get lost.
