Star Tours: The Adventure Continues

DW and I rode Star Tours three times last weekend. It is absolutely fantastic! I like all of the changes they made. The cue feels like you are actually going on a tour and boarding a space craft.

The detail all the way through from the moment you walk into the cue until the moment you exit the ride is phenominal. Make sure to pay attention to details in the cue and the new pre-flight video, it's great.

The effects and the differences of the rides are terrific. All three rides were different. Yes, there were repeated elements, but worked into the story in different places.

The change in Star Tours is so good, I can almost forgive them for gutting animation....no...no I can't, fabulous job on Star Tours imagineers, now how about bringing some love back to animation, it used to be great.

We will be there the second week of July! Cannot wait to try out the new Star Tours. When we went back in March, one of the CM told me that George Lucas footed most of the bill to update it!
Cannot wait, just wish DS was tall enough to ride!

Rode 3 times this past Sunday (last day of of Star Wars Weekends). All I can say is that this is one of the best upgrades I have ever seen. They retained most of the elements of the old ride and gave it a technology boost to make it relevant to today's ride expectations. As much as I enjoyed the old ride, it was becoming a snoozer since my son wanted to do it over and over again. The new format with 3D and multiple story lines really makes it a new ride each time. Everyone clapped at the end of the ride! Good job, Disney! You got this one right.
