Cars 2 Tune-Up

6/28/11 The Cars 2 Meet & Greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened on June 24th; 6 weeks later than the originally announced date. The new location is located next to the Phineas and Ferb Meet & Greet. The theme of the Meet & Greet has changed form Luigi's Casa Della Tires to a racing tent. Lighting fixtures in the meet & greet structure imply that the location will often operate after dark.

3/22/11 To promote the upcoming Cars 2, the Hollywood Studios Cars Meet & Greet will undergo several changes this Spring. According to Character Cast; Lightening McQueen be on hiatus from April 8 – May 15, 2011, Matter will be on hiatus from April 30 – May 15, 2001, and Luigi’s Casa Della Tires Meet & Greet location will be closed for renovations April 15 – May 15, 2011. Matter will continue to appear at the Luigi’s Casa Della Tires Meet & Greet April 8 – 14, 2011 and will appear on the Streets of America April 15 – 30, 2011. A new Cars 2 themed Meet & Greet location will re-open on the site of Luigi’s Casa Della Tires on May 16, 2011.

Prehistoric Party

6/28/11 Disney’s Animal Kingdom has added additional entertainment for the first half of the Summer. Earlier this month, Dinoland USA began hosting daily dance parties from 1:0 pm till 4:30 pm. The dance party is hosted by "DJ Dino-Mite". The event is scheduled to continue daily through July 30, 2011.

Change Makerz

6/28/11 Permits have been filed for a new Ridemakerz location in the Downtown Disney Marketpace. In conjunction with this paperwork, Cast have reported that the new location will be inside the existing Team Mickey store. Neither an opening date nor the size of the new store-with-in-a-store has been reported.

3/12/11 Ridemakerz, located in the former Virgin Megastore building, has announced it will close April 30, 2011. Neither a reason nor a replacement was cited in the announcement.

Retirement, Relatively Speaking

6/28/11 The Little Einsteins are schedule to be retired from daily Meet & Greet appearances later this Summer. The Little Einsteins Meet & Greet in Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is schedule to cease operation in August 2011. Despite the ending of their meet & greet, Character Cast have reported that the June and Leo will continue to appear at the Hollywood & Vine Play ‘n’ Dine Character Meals.

Domo Arigato, Mr. Kaki Gori

6/28/11 Epcot Cast have reported that the Japan pavilion’s popular frozen treats are taking permanent residence in a new building. Construction walls have been erected around the site of the Kaki Gori cart in order to build a permanent structure for the frozen treats. Epcot Cast have reported that the new building will allow the location to offer a larger selection of items. During the construction, the cart is still operating on the opposite side of the pavilion. An opening date for the new permanent building has not been announced.

InnovenChange

6/28/11 Waste Management’s Don’t Waste It! exhibit in Epcot’s Innoventions pavilion has closed. It has been internally announced that the replacement exhibit will be named “Habitat Heroes” and will be an interactive video game experience. Neither a sponsor nor further details have been announced.
