This is the condensed version to understand everything...When we went to meet Santa in EPCOT we were afraid we had missed him because he was there until 5:30 and it was 5:15 with an already long line, we were told as long as we got in line BEFORE 5:30 we were fine. Cut to MK and going to meet Repunzel...we got to the line at 4:15 and she was supposed to be there until 5:00 and were told the line was closed, my daughter was in tears and no deal. Talk about devestation for a little girl who is STILL all about Repunzel. Well, we just wnt back in Juse and KNEW better then to NOT go first thing in the morning (there really should be some consistency!!!) We stood in line for 1 1/2 hours for a meet time only to wait another 30 min...ugh... but when my daughter met her she lit up and I cried as she told her how we missed her in Dec. As we said goodbye and were walking out of the Fairytale Garden all of a sudden Repunzel ran away from the family who had just walked up to her and hugged my daughter from behind in the biggest bear hug!! It was one of my favorite Disney moments...Sorry so long!!

We were on our honeymoon & stopped to get a picture on main street from one of the Photopass photographers with our bride & groom ears on. After a couple shots he made us switch hats then had my wife get down on one knee as if she was proposing to me. Then he told me to look away as if I were saying "humph"
The whole roll reversal had us laughing so hard & made such a great photo.

My last trip was a solo one, as I was in Orlando in 2009 to do some of my dissertation research. My favorite memory was going to Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk. It was nice and quiet, since it was Superbowl Sunday and everybody was at the ESPN bar, so everybody had a good seat, and most of the requests were attended to. With two sets of two pianists, they handled mostly classic rock stuff that I love: some of the stranger requests were "Take on Me", "867-5309/Jenny", and "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" (with baseball narrative, one requester insisted.)

I absolutely LOVE this post and want to thank Cinderelley for starting it.

I actually have so many wonderful memories from our last trip, but two stand out on the DVD I made. My DD was 5 last trip and already acting like a Disney pro. She did the Bippity Boppity Boutique; we went to the Hoop De Doo Review; danced at Stitch's Dance Party at the MNNSHP. All great stuff and could easily be my favorites.

But two stand out: My second-best memory of the last trip was watching my daughter's excitement on departure day, especially when we got on "the Magical Bus!" I thought she was going to explode.

And my favorite memory is on our last full day. We had just closed Epcot and took a late bus to POR. We decided to go to the food court for desserts. We sat there for hours reminiscing about the whole trip. My daughter kept slipping into the conversation the "except-that-guy" joke from Monster, Inc. Laugh Club. We laughed for hours. It was truly a Magical vacation and I think we new it would be a while until we returned so we wanted it to last as long as possible.

I love vacationing there with my family.

I love these topics! Thanks for posting!

Our last trip in April ...

Breakfast at CRT (hubby grilled me for making CRT ADRs with 2 boys lol) and at our turn for the meet and greet pic with Cinderella, DS5 took Cinderella's hand and kissed it! The entire waiting area let out a collective "AWWWWW!" I got a GREAT pic ... and it was completely unexpected.

My two boys in WDW for the first time together (5 and 2) dancing together at Mickey's Backyard BBQ. What a GREAT family event! Super fun times and really good food!

In 2008, we took our then 2 year old son to WDW for the first time. Watching him enjoy all the things I love was such a treat. We've got another boy on the way and plan to go in about two years to live this all over again!

on our last trip, my DD2 and I were dancing toward the entrance to HS while waiting for DH to come out of a store. A photopass guy was taking our picture, and then another CM came up to us, and asked us if we wanted to meet Pooh and Tigger. We were then escorted to a "secret location" where DD got to spend time playing with Pooh and Tigger. No line, no moving on so that the next kid got a turn. The CM kept encouraging her to go back, because she would hug and then leave. Finally, she and piglet started playing hide and seek around pooh. It was so awesome to see her excitement and not be rushed. Now, every time she sees a disney commercial she says "i want to go there again"

the best thng about our "previous" visit to the World was the Keys tour! I have been wanting to go behind the scenes and in the utilidors since my 1st visit in 1974. Of course, the tour wasn't available then. And when it was, we wouldnt think of going w/o DD,(nor would she allow it) and she wasn't old enough til our last visit this past Oct. Seeing how things work @ WDW was a true "plus" for me!

Lol. I am glad you guys clarified the "previous" trip as opposed to the last trip. I guess it was a poor choice of words.

Cinderelley, I'm so glad you posted this thread as it involves you! We just got back and had a wonderful time. As I was waiting for my daughter to finish up some shopping in Norway I remembered something I had read from one of your trip reports. You had talked about the school bread in the Norway Bakery and I remembered thinking "what is that"? So I went in to check it out and bought one. Oh my!!!! You were so right~they are delicious!!! So thanks for the new discovery and a very tasty memory!

I love this story. I have a great similar memory from our 2005 trip.

My DD was only 17 months old and it was her first trip to WDW. On the first day, she pretty much went where we took her and went along with the program. She behaved like she would at the mall. "Oh, we're going into this store. Ok." Then, she had a revelation. We were in the Port Orleans gift shop when she ran into a bunch of Mickey Mouse toys, pointing to them and touching them saying, "Mm Mouse! Mm Mouse." Then, turned, ran and pointed. "Gooshy! Gooshy!" Over to Pluto, "Pulto. Pulto!" Back to Mickey. Back to Goofy. Over to Minnie, each time pointing, touching and calling their names. She ran out of the lobby and over to a large Vacation Club poster. "Mm Mouse!" Back to the store. "Gooshy!" She kept that excited pace up for 15 minutes. Everyone was watching her. She had figured it out. This is where Mickey lives.

We are returning this fall and it will be my son's first trip. Hopefully, he will be just as excited.
