Default Trip Report Day 1 (Sept 3rd)

As with previous years the wife had me running around the day before so I was working on 26 hours with no sleep when we left the house. Thankfully the in-laws drove us to PHL so I managed a 30min nap.
Arrived at PHL 2 hours before depart & the airport was freezing!!!!
I didn't care how silly I looked so I grabbed my wife's white/pink Disney jacket & curled up on a seat & napped some more.
Once at MCO I started to feel a little energized since I was close to WDW but the video on DMC really started getting me in the Disney spirit.
Once we stepped into Pop's lobby I was all smiles along with some serious bags under my eye's LOL!
Check in was quick. Got our packet & our room was ready.
By now it was around noon so we grabbed lunch in the food court before heading to our room.

Since it was new I definitely had to go to the burrito station. They were pretty stuffed & surprisingly tasty. I skipped the traditional tye dyed cheesecake for a Mickey cupcake which was very good. It was chocolate with a gooey chocolate center, vanilla cream cheese frosting with oreo Mickey Ears.

After lunch we stepped outside to go to our room & the atmosphere took over. Seeing the people smiling, swimming, etc along with the warm Orlando sun had me wide awake & ready to go.
Got to our room (8147) which was in the 90's facing the parking that separated us from the bus stop. It was sort of secluded but nothing to complain about.
Got in the room, unpacked our carry on stuff & decided to nap before we headed to DTD.

Woke up around 5:00, showered & headed out.
Did some browsing in the shops before finally going to Wolfgang Puck's for dinner.

I couldn't complain because my traditional first night meal, Pumpkin Ravioli, was still on the menu but there was some serious cut backs on the offerings. I'd say half of the menu was missing from the year before along with my favorite dessert, creme brule'
I ended up getting the sugar free Cheesecake Mousse which was delicious. I highly recommend it!!
After dinner we took a bus back to the resort & turned in.
