    Default Motorized wheelchair policy questions

My DM's doctor and nurse are working very hard to get her a motorized wheelchair in time for our trip in 3 weeks.

We are trying to get her a small portable (folding) model. It is not a scooter type. I will be able to push her from behind when we get in crowded situations and bus loading. Or any situation where her coordination skills may put her or others in danger.

What is Disney's policy on these?
Will she be able to ride the rides that allow wheelchairs to load or will she have to transfer to another wheelchair? ie.. IASW or JC.

DM is very excited about getting this as it will give her more independence and allow her to not rely on others to get around. I am concerned about taking it instead of her regular chair. Any advice or words of encouragement/wisdom to ease my concern?

Don't worry! That chair will be used just like a regular chair, especially since it is essentially just one with a motor. You will have no problems with it.
    Can I go "home" yet?
    Mickey where are you?

Thank you, that is good news. She will be happy and her fall risks will be reduced. A win-win.
