    Default World of Color

Will be at Disneyland May 21 and 22, was looking at the meal packages to view the World of Color. Is it really necessary to do this in order to see the World of Color, or at the time we are going should we have any trouble viewing (no grad night these nights)

No, it's not necessary to do a meal package to see WoC. I've seen it twice and did the normal Fastpass distribution both times. If you do go the meal plan route, I'd suggest the picnic meals over the TS meal option, as the viewing areas are not that much different and the TS meal is $$$ for only "okay" food. The picnic meal option gives you more flexibility in when you eat, and allows you more park touring time.

I have never done the Fastpass but have heard from those that have that it seems to work just as well as the dining packages.

I've done both the picnic and the table service. Our spot was actually better the time we did the picnic. I was extremely disappointed with the viewing area we were allowed to enter when we actually paid for the table service plan (although we enjoyed the food). The viewing areas are not very well defined or policed in my opinion. I'm fairly certain that either the CM sent us to the wrong spot or lots of Fastpassers wandered in to and staked claim in the "reserved" area.

I'd do the picnic again if I wanted to be absolutely sure I had a pass to see the show. Otherwise I'd go for the Fastpass.
