    Default Adult getaway ideas

I wanted to see if I could get some ideas for a short vacation for DH and I for anniversary. DH and I alway getaway for our anniversary without the kids. We have done Vegas several times, the beach, a cruise and last year NYC (promised the kids next time we go will be with them). I would like suggestions on places that are good for adults. It doesn't have to be outside of Florida (didn't know where else to put it). Oh and we go to the Smokies and WDW at least once a year. (so those would be out) and we are contemplating DCL for spring break next year and Califoria family trip next summer.
    Thanks

Since your anniversary is in August, I'm trying to think of places that aren't scorching hot. Also, not sure how "short" of a trip you want to take.
My suggestion would be San Francisco/wine country or maybe San Diego. MY DH and I love wine country. One year, we took Hwy 1 from San Fran and toured a little bit of the coast and Bodega Bay and sea kayaked the Russian River (gorgeous with sea otters swimming along side of your kayak) along with a few days in wine country.

Thank you! California sounds great! We are thinking about going next summer so I had completely ruled it out. But it might be nice to go just DH and I this year and the kids next.

I was thinking anywhere between 3-5 days.

I would go north. I hear Montreal and Qubec are fabulous. They are on my list.

    The Virgin Islands.

    Puerto Rico.

Both are easy to get to from Florida, and have amazing resorts for a romantic anniversary trip.

Wine Country in CA is also great, although it's a LONG flight and jet lag due to the time change, which can be a problem for a 3-5 day trip.

Colorado! You could fly here to Denver and rent a car to go up into the mountains, where they have lots of fun summer activities. Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park; Keystone & Breckenridge; maybe over to Glenwood Springs.

Two places that come to mind are Niagra Falls. It's a wonderful sight and there is alot to do in that area. Don't count out the NY side either because the park there is pretty and can be done in one day. A combo trip on both sides is what I recommend.

Newport Rhode Island is another great spot. Touring the mansions, doing Cliff Walk, and many good restaurants are in the area. I loved this little town.
