    Default Poly or BW

Ok, so we are going down for the ICOT 15th in October.

I have us booked in the BW standard room currently based on location.

I called tonight and the Poly equivalent is $200 or so more for the 3 nights.

We are currently on the bounce back rates. I do have an AP, but the rates aren't out yet for then.

Assuming the $200 isn't an issue on this trip as its just DW and myself, which should we go with?

We have stayed at BW and loved it. My only complaint was lack of quick places to eat there. I love the proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Assuming we will go to Epcot on Saturday for the Food & Wine Festival. We will also take part in the ICOT 15th gathering. Otherwise, no schedule or agenda.

We have never stayed at Poly and my wife would like to on some trip. She is ok with either, as we will be back at WDW again, as we go 2-3 times per year on average.

I was thinking the Poly just because we won't have DD8 and the number of beds will not be an issue. Plus, the Poly vibe is seems cool the few times I have been through there.

    Thanks for any insight!

I think I would choose the Poly for two reasons:

    1) You've never been there before and want to go someday

    2) There will be major construction at some point at the Poly in the next couple of years, so go now before it starts.

We were seriously considering staying at the Poly next May for our 25th anniversary, but the construction has us worried and we may end up at the Yacht Club instead.

The good news is that you really can't go wrong with either resort!

For an adult trip I'd give BW the edge on location, but I love EPCOT. I think the proximity to EPCOT is especially nice during food and wine and those EPCOT resorts can be hard to get during that time. It's funny to hear you say that dining is a concern at BW because we feel they have the best dining situation. You are so close to Beach Club and Yacht Club plus there's EPCOT. I know if we had a kid free trip during food and wine we'd be at EPCOT a lot. There's not a lot of counter service, but we really like the counter service at Beach Club so we walked over there a couple times on our last BW trip.

I would go with the Poly. It's my favorite resort.

    Another vote for the Poly.

I've stayed at both (I don't get to say that often) and the Poly just feels so much more relaxing. Yes, it is a longer trip by bus to AK and DHS, but I still think is is worth it.

Plus, I do like access to a late night Dole Whip!
