Apparently it's called the gorilla beach sandwich and has grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, & pickles. There's nothing special about the sandwich but then again, there's nothing special about Snookie. Hahahaha. I just can't understand why EOS would stoop so low. To me they have now been officially tainted.

Now that she's moved in with her boyfriend in East Hanover she and JoWoW are going to begin filming in the Morristown shops and restaurants. Looks like I need to find a new place to shop and dine for the next few months.

Not unless she delivers before August 9th. The mayor is receiving a lot of flack so I don't know how long they'll last here. Hopefully they'll be gone by the time your daughter starts school.

I'll admit it bothers me a little. I tried to do some googling to see if this is common place for Earl of Sandwich but I had some difficulty pulling up results. The website doesn't list any other celebrity sandwiches. My main issue is many of these reality TV "stars" pale in comparison to what I consider a real star: Someone who has actual talent- be it acting, singing, dancing, etc. I still can't believe Jersey Shore became the big hit that it did. I know I don't have much room to talk, because I do watch my fair share of reality shows, but I don't agree with the celebration of people like Snooki and her Jersey Shore co-stars, the teen moms who got the spin off from 16 and pregnant, and people like Paris Hilton.

This makes me laugh.. while I eyeroll at Snooki and the rest of the group, she does give me a lot of laughs. To correct some earlier points, Jionni is her fiance, and she doesn't go to tanning salons. I believe she owns part of a company or is the spokesperson for a self tanning/bronzing product.

While it kind of makes me cringe that they created a sandwich in her honor, it does make sense why they picked her to be at the ribbon cutting. She's popular for people in their 20s, and they were probably looking to get someone that is current right now. The whole Jersey Shore phenomenon has been going on for awhile now, and it's an easy way to get people talking.

Back to the OP, I'm glad that the sandwich is only going to be at the NJ location, too. I'll stick with the Original 1762.

I wouldn't say popular. I would say notorious or infamous. Most people know who she is, but she's mostly a joke to all age groups. She will get people talking, but not sure she's much of a draw. But yes, if they want to generate buzz, that works.

Her books are put out by my publisher. It always kind of kills me that she hit the New York Times list, and I haven't. Life's not fair.

I'm in my mid-20s and neither I nor anyone I know watches Jersey Shore. I'm not denying that plenty of people in their 20s probably do watch it, but it's not popular with all of us. Now, as an 8th grade teacher, I can tell you 13 and 14 year olds couldn't get enough, which is sad.

Why would you name a sandwich after any of those people?
They are drunkards, have random relations with strangers, don't work consistently, have no manners or class, should be arrested for indecent exposure regularly, push tanning which is basically pushing kids to get skin cancer and die.
What redeeming quality do they have that would be worthy of having a sandwich named after them?
