    Default Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

I've never been to Mickey's Not-so-scary Halloween party, and I'm tempted to buy tickets this year...

What is it like? What has your experience been? Is it worth it? Would love to hear more details around the event, and any special things I should keep an eye out for!

We've enjoyed it though I do think it's getting pricey. If the prices go higher, I may decide that it is not financially worthwhile for what you get.

Typically, you can enter the park around 4 on your party ticket. As you enter, you receive a wristband and a trick or treat bag. Be sure to dress up as it really enhances the fun. Make sure your costumes are lightweight - I've seen some folks dressed as, say Scooby Doo in full length furry costumes and those folks are just wilting in the usually warm Florida temperatures.

The Halloween Parade is wonderful! Be sure to keep a lookout for the headless horseman who typically rides through BEFORE the prade begins.

    The fireworks are also terrific.

Trick or Treating is lots of fun as well.

There are also a number of special character meets set up and, of course, you can also ride the rides as well.

Along this thread; I'm wondering how you know where the character meets are. I know that there are "special meet & greets". I guess my question is, do they print a special itinerary for MNSCHP that you pick up at the entrance that gives you all this information?

MNSSHP is pretty pricey but, if memories are more important then money, I would totally do it! It is a wondeful night! I will never forget my first halloween party there! The Hallo-wishes fireworks and parade were out of this world! You should try it at least once!

There is a special party map that is available on Halloween nights which you pick up as you walk under the train station just as you pick up the other maps during the regular park hours.

Hallowishes is the BEST Disney fireworks show. Totally awesome. That and the parade with the Headless Horseman and the gravediggers are not to be missed!

I would suggest it to anyone! Its so much fun! The parade is the best I've ever seen, the entire atmosphere is different, its foggy and eerie with neat projections on the stores down Main Street and the Castle as well, lots of neat characters out, a option for trick or treating, everyone (mostly) dresses up and low crowds. Its my favorite event WDW does!

DH and I greatly considered MNSSHP on our last trip, but we couldn't get past the price of admission when all we really wanted to see were HalloWishes and the villain parade, so we passed.

To see at least one of them without having to pay to enter MK, we went to the Polynesian Resort, easily found some vacant lounge chairs, and relaxed on the beach directly across from Cinderella's Castle a good hour before the fireworks started. We got to see the Electric Water Pageant on the Seven Seas lagoon followed shortly thereafter by HalloWishes, and it was absolutely AMAZING!

The Poly pipes the music and voices into the beach area, so it was like we were there but with luxurious "balcony" seating I highly recommend this free (although it doesn't feel free) option to anyone who just can't take the leap to pay the extra admission but wants to experience the awesome seasonal firework show

This October will be our 4th MNSSHP. DH agrees that those are the best fireworks that MK does. I personally love the haunted mansion dancers and grave diggers during the parade. It is so fun to see the costumes that people show up in. Last year we were able to ride Thunder Mtn. several times without getting off the ride...crowds were that low! The whole party atmosphere is just fun to be a part of.

    Here's one more question:

Do you need to have both a Disney admission ticket AND a MNSSHP special admission ticket?

    Thanks!

You only need the party ticket. You do NOT need a regular park admission to get into the party.
