Default Trading pins for the kids

Is there a reliable way to pre-purchase trading pins for my kids (7 and 4) for Christmas for our upcoming trips? I'm hesitant to use eBay or Amazon - I'm worried about getting a lot full of scrappers that no one will trade for. Or am I over-thinking? Anyone have a reputable seller they'd recommend (PM me the name, please!)?

    Thanks!

I understand quite a few folks have used e-Bay for this purpose.

I used eBay many times. Pins are $1 each or less, a fraction of what the park prices are.
Yes, you'll get pins that are not in demand- but cast members will trade any one pin they have for any one pin you have.

I've used ebay a couple of times, and was happy with the results for DD each time.

I did dig around and find a seller with good reviews and a longer history. And although I paid a good price for the pins, it wasn't the super-crazy cheap price that you know is too good to be true.

But, especially with kids, the CM's are going to trade with them, so no worries about them being turned down, at least it has never happened to DD.

Default Ebay all the way .

I have done ebay purchases many times and have had great results. As said before , the CMs trade any pins as long as they are Official Disney ones. Look to pay about $0.85-$1.50 per pin in a large lot.

    Default Ebay for Trading Pins!

We are a fan of ebay, too to purchase trading pins. I usually look for the sellers who on their product description say up=front that they do not sell the off brand (scrapper) pins. At least they are out there acknowledging that other sellers do.

We have never been disappointed with our purchase from ebay. Great way to get those traders.

Be very careful buying frm eBay. When you buy a lot where the pins are less than about $2 apiece, chances are they're scrappers. Spend a little more money per pin and look for sellers that say "no scrappers" in their description.

Just becuase they say no scrappers doesn't mean they aren't selling scrappers. Ask them where they get their pins. Chances are, if they sell scrappers they won't reply to you. And if they actually come out and say China, they are scrappers.
    Good Luck and happy Trading

When I got pins off of eBay they were all scrappers so I didn't trade them at the park. I called different Disney outlet stores to see who had really cheap pins. I told them I didn't care what pin it was. I found some under $3 and the shipping was the biggest expense. They were still less than full priced pins and I knew they were legit. Good luck.
