Default 2 units on 1 site and other questions.

    Hi everyone,
We are returning to FW for the first time in 20 years! We stayed there twice before when our kids were toddlers. Since then, we joined the DVC and stay at OKW. They are now both in their late 20's with kids of their own and we want to go back.
    My questions are these:
    1) We have a 37' class A, one of them has a pop-up. Can we camp next to each other?
    2) Can there be a tent on one of the sites?
    3) What loop do you like the best and why?
    4) We want to drive the motorhome from MI and stay at OKW for the first part of our stay and then go to FW for a few days before going home. Isn't there a place somewhere on the WDW property to park the MH while we're at OKW?

    Thanks for your help

You can camp next to each other on two sites. I don't think you'll fit a 37' A and another unit on the same site - though you may be able to put a tent on the same site as the smaller unit. I'm not sure if the rules have changed but, in the past, we have had two tents on the same site.

We like the preferred loops that are as close as possible to Pioneer Hall - that way we can walk to Pioneer Hall and to park transportation without using the internal bus system as much.

There should be some place you can park your unit before you use it, even if it is the parking lot at Fort Wilderness.

Our favorite loop is 900. It is right across the road from Meadow and the pool. We like to spend quite a bit of time at the pool.

The tent will fit well with the pop-up. We did this a few years ago and we had one of the largest pop-ups that Starcraft made.
Our site had the camper, a tent, and a canopy set up over the table. Plenty of room.

    Default Campground Changes

Campground any different since the summer of 09? They just finished refurbing the pools when we were there last.

I have seen rigs parked at the far end of the parking lot. Parked ours there on check out day while we were getting in some final park time. Call the campground and ask.
We enjoyed loop 800 one year. Close to the pool and a bus stop.

You can have a combination of units on the site, Motorhome and tent, pop up and tent, trailer and tent, but you can not have trailer and trailer or motorhome and motorhome.. and you can not extend past the edge of the driveway

Correct on the one RV per site plus 1 tent. It is not just Disney rules, it is actually a state rule.

We have stayed at Pop and POR with my in- laws and they had their 30' 5th wheel. They were allowed to park it in the Pop and POR resort parking lots. They were asked to park it as far out as possible. Both times there was ample room in the parking lots. We have seen RVs at CB and CS as well, but we've never stayed at OKW, so I'm not sure if that parking lot is set up differently.

We love the 900 loop and have stayed there 3 times. We enjoy walking and loved the convenience to the Meadow Trading Post and the campfire and movies. We could pop popcorn and go and watch the movie and the popcorn was still hot!

You'll have to get 2 sites- one for the A class and one for the pop-up and tent.

We sold our trailer years ago, but now you're making me want to get another one! We love Fort Wilderness- honestly the nicest campground we've ever stayed at. Have a wonderful time!
