Hotel near Medieval Times in Maryland???
We are currently booked for two nights in DC for July 3rd and 4th. Today I tried to add July 2nd and the hotel is now completely booked for not only the 2nd, but also the dates I already have booked. So glad I booked those dates a few days ago!
Anyway now we need to find a hotel for the first night. Our only plans for that first night are to go to the Medieval Times Dinner show in Maryland. I guess our best bet is to find a hotel near the dinner show for the night, then just drive into DC to our hotel there the next day.
Anyone familiar with the area that can recommend a hotel not too far from Medieval Times Dinner Show? We are looking for something fairly inexpensive, like under $200, and clean. We are currently booked at the Four Points By Sheraton in DC, so something comparable would be great. Thanks.

That is right at Arundel Mills Mall, which is a huge outlet-type mall. I assume you'll find a pretty decent number of hotels/motels in the immediate area.
Hampton Inn and Suites Arundel Mills seems to be a good bet. It's literally right there.
My only real recommendation is to AVOID driving down to DC before 10am on July 3. Rush hour is brutal along that route.

I did a google maps search and did see that Hampton Inn. We've stayed Hampton Inn plenty of times in the past and they all tend to be super clean.
I had a feeling traffic would be horrid! I'm not sure what we should do. Adding a night to our existing reservation would have been perfect, but it's no longer an option. Would you recommend trying to find something closer to our hotel in DC for that night, Natalie?

Unfortunately, traffic is an issue in the DC area at all times. Never know what could happen, between accidents and work zones. Ugh. Good luck!

Denise, I personally would choose a hotel closer to DC for that night. Look in the Arlington or Crystal City area, or right near the Reagan airport, where there are plenty of hotels. It will be much easier to drive down that way later at night after dinner than in the morning hours.

Thanks Natalie and Melanie. This is the kind of stuff that I am clueless about, lol, so your help is much appreciated!

We have stayed at the Hampton Inn at Arrundel Mills when we took the grandkids to Medieval Times and it is nice and clean. It can be busy with people because of the location being so close to Medieval Times, the discount mall and Bass Pro. All 3 of these are under roof at the same location and now just across the parking lot they have opened up a casino.

There are a ton of hotels right in that area because it is so close to the airport. I cant really recommend any of them because I live here but there are at least three that are less than a mile from the mall/Medieval times that all seem pretty popular and nice. Also my cousin plays princess at Medieval times!!
888 miles from the happiest place on Earth!
