One of Mom's favorite rides is POTC She uses an ECV and while she gets along fine with the rest of the ride, walking the distance to the boats from the entrance can be a problem. Is there a way to transfer to a regular chair and push her or enter another way that is a shorter walk? This is one ride that we haven't gotten much help from the CMs when we ask about options.

They have manual chairs at the entrance.
But watch out, the walkway is sloping downhill. I tried to maneuver DW a few years back and almost had an accident. The chair almost got away from me, and if it was not for two complete strangers, she would have been hurt.There is a side entrance that we have used periodically, but for some reason, the CM would not let us in that way, even lied to me saying that it did not exist, even after I told him that we went that way several days earlier.

I would ask about the side entrance too. Maybe stop by the guest relations to get a pass that says she can't walk that far.

My son is spec. needs and we've used that side entrance before. We had to wait for them to open it up first, but then we were all set. They did ask to see the pass though - not sure if they ask all the time or not.
