The system was actually the first phone system placed underground (think about it; do you see any telephone poles along the WDW roadways?), and I'll say it was computerized.

Beauty and the Beast first hit the stage in 1994. The show that I'm after was staged in 1979.

Half correct. Walt Disney World's telephone system was the first totally electronic system to use underground cable instead of overground poles. The missing part is that it was the first to use fibre-optic cable.

Correct. It is a minor planet orbiting our sun between Mars and Jupiter. It was discovered as you said in Feb 1990 by Russian astronomers who named it in honour of Walt Disney.

The only outstanding question remaining is

3.What was the first Disney animated movie to be adapted as a Broadway show?

Any more guesses, before I post the answer?

    I'm afraid not

I was after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

It opened at the Radio City Music Hall on 18 Oct 1979, finally closing 09 March 1980 after 106 performances. The show was credited as saving the Radio City Music Hall from closure.

I was thinking of saying Snow White. I think I read that while trying to find an answer for this question. But this show actually affiliated with Disney Broadway Productions or was it a seperate thing? Maybe the beginning of?

It was before Disney Theatrical Productions Limited, (a.k.a Disney on Broadway), who started off as Walt Disney Theatrical in 1993.

The Snow White musical was produced by Robert F. Jani Productions, Inc (formed 1978 after Jani left Disney)

I think it may have been American Express. I think I recall one of my co-workers talking about this, although it was a long time ago and I forget the details. It could've been Disneyland where AMEX was accepted. My second guess would be CHASE.
