    1) Snow White (by birth; her father, the king, married the evil queen)
    2) Princess Aurora (by birth)
    3) Cinderella (by marriage)
    4) Ariel (by birth)
    5) Belle (by marriage)
    6) Tiana (by marriage)
    7) Jasmine (by birth)
    8) Rapunzel (by birth)
    9) Pocahontas (by birth)
    10) ?

Hope they're not counting Mulan. Mulan's family was not royalty, and she married (we assume) Shang, a soldier - not a prince.

    Help me out here....LOL...Sofia, maybe?

They are counting Mulan as one. But I guess your right she really wasn't royalty was she. Never thought about it before. Good point.

Well, if you're going to get technical...Pocahontas? That's stretching it.

And Ariel was doubly a Princess, by land and sea.

What about Nancy, the girl who marries Prince Edward at the end of "Enchanted"? She's a legit Disney princess, isn't she?

If Ariel's father was Triton, that would make her a goddess.

So based on this current line of discussion, we have the following pecking order for the “Princesses” (think of the “Pick a Little, Talk a Little scene from “The Music Man” and insert the Disney Princesses):
    1) Ariel - Goddess & Princes by birth. Married a Prince.
    2) Aurora – Princess by birth. Married a Prince with a real name and combined two kingdoms
    3) Snow White – Princess by birth. Supposedly married a Prince, although all we really know about this guy is that he wanders through the forest and is “charming”. He won’t even tell us his name. Highly suspicious. We’ll give Snow the benefit of the doubt, even though her ability to choose socially acceptable associates is known to be lacking.
    4) Cinderella – Of noble birth, but not royalty. Married up. Valid claim to be a Princess
    5) Jasmine – Princess by birth. Married a commoner. Dare we say a confessed thief?
    6) Rapunzel – Princess by birth. Like Jasmine, also married a criminal commoner.
    7) Pocahontas – Technically, not a princess (merely a chieftain’s daughter), she was, in reality, considered a princess by European society. Married a respected soldier, but definitely NOT a prince.
    8) Belle – Smart, lovely, but still a commoner. Married a Prince. Definitely married up.
    9) Tiana – Also a mere commoner. As with Belle, married up.
    10) Mulan – While born into a respected family, definitely NOT a princess. Like Pocahontas, married a well-respected soldier. Not sure how the “Princess” designation applies in any way. Sure, she saved China, but that merely make her a hero, not a princess. Would Joan D’Arc be considered a Princess? I think not.
