    Default Memory Maker

Sorry if their has already been a post about this, so please direct me to the post if it has been discussed already

I am asking about Disney Memory Maker. $149 for all the PhotoPass photos, character meet and greet photos, e-ticket ride photos, and "throughout the park" moments. It sounds extremely new, so does anyone out there know if it is worth it?

It's really a personal decision. Will you have lots of character ineractions? Attend character meals? Ride on the rides that have pictures? If so you may find it worthwhile.

Personally, for a party of 2 adults, I find the new product offering a bit expensive - and though I have purchased the old Photopass product several times, I do not plan on purchasing MemoryMaker at the current purchase price.

We are going in 22 days and I have never purchased anything photopass related; until this trip.

And I plan on tackling every photographer we see.

Like already mentioned, it's really a personal choice on whether the cost is worth it. This trip, I felt it would be worth it. It could very well be the last full family trip to WDW.

It will be my wife and I, my son, my daughter and her boyfriend, my other daughter and her husband, and the most important member of the party; my granddaughter (20 months).

I just felt like this was a great opportunity to capture the moment with as many pictures as possible.

Is it worth it from a monetary standpoint? Yeh, um no. I have a camera, my wife has a camera, and we all have fancy phones. But, it'll be nice to have a collection of hammed up ride photos and family pictures. And maybe even one or two with the granddaughter holding Tink in her hand.

I decided not to purchase this, even though I have purchased the old Photopass for past trips. While the Memory Maker does include pictures from rides and character meals, you only get the digital files, not actual pictures or even a disc with all the picture files on it. So after paying $149, I would still have to download them onto a disc myself and then pay for pictures or print them myself. When I purchased the old Photopass, it included a disc with all the picture files and a photobook that I was able to create online...all for the one price, which was cheaper than the new Memory Maker. I think the Memory maker is too expensive for what you actually get, so I'm not purchasing it for this trip.

Is it possible to still take a screenshot of photos that you're viewing in the website? Or are the pictures watermarked now when you preview them online?

We have ordered the old photopass for the past several trips, but have opted not do Memory Maker. In 20 trips or so I think we have only purchased a couple of ride photos and this trip we are not dining anywhere with photo packages. The price is just not worth what we want.

My questions are when you get to the parks, can you still get a photopass card and then at the end choose a couple of pictures to either print or download? Will the photographers still use your personal camera as well? Last year the photos they took w/ my camera came out just as well as theirs. I know downloading a couple of photos isn't a good value compared to unlimited on MM, but if that's all we really need, it's fine w/ me.

Yes you can still have the photographers use your camera and I have never bought these packages but I have purchased specific photos that I downloaded or bought a print. I prefer to download them so I don't bend them and have them printed at Walgreens when I get home. If this has changed someone please let me know. I last did this in October.

We have never purchased this nor PhotoPass. However, after reading about it, i'm actually tempted. I love how it's all photos, everywhere, including the goofy ride photos that we have never purchased. We may not do it this trip, but we'll likely do it the next time we go with friends/family.
