Default BOG for dinner ..how does it differ from lunch?? should I keep it??

Hi all, booking for June now, and secured an ADR for BOG dinner just yesterday. I wasn't planning on trying for it, but it was available, so I grabbed it. My question is....we have been for lunch to BOG twice...really liked it a lot, but is it different for dinner? Worth it to go? It's kind of off track for our plans for the day, but I got so excited when I saw it was open, so I booked it. How does it differ from lunch there if at all?

We enjoyed our dinner there, would go back but not a must do. Service was attentive, our food was very good and the menu was varied with a French flair.

Where lunch is more CS sandwich and salads, dinner is TS appetizers and entrees. A few dishes we had were the Mussels Provencal, Rack of Lamb, and Salmon w/Leeks, all were done nicely. I don't know if I'd rearrange my day to get there but maybe if you look over the menu it will help you decide.

I wouldn't give up a dinner there! It sounds like a great experience- I would try it once. You might not get as lucky the next time you try if you decide to give up your seating.

The food is different and the Beast is there. Seems a little more elegant. I am a huge B&B fan and would love to get a dinner seating but so far no luck. Maybe in December.

That's awesome that you got a reservation! I've been trying for a June reservation since NYE but no luck . Maybe it's because we have 9 in our party. Now I'm just hoping for a lunch FP but have to wait 30 more days to find out if I can even get one of those.

    Default BOG Lunch

We got FP for BOG lunch. It was the best meal we had all vacation. I would definitely do it again. I would alsomlikemtomtry the dinner but wanted to try the lunch first because I have some finicky eaters. Everyone loved it!

We love Disney....we had to get an ADR for 8 and then another for 1 (we have 9 also). CM told me no tables available for over 8. SO, our ADR is 5 minutes apart. If they can't squeeze 9 in a table of 8, I'll sit with hubby at the table for 1( really ??? 1, ya know it has to seat 2). Last year, The beast walked by us every 15 minutes, our DGS keep asking, he's only a character right!!!

Dinner at BOG is amazing. Best meal I've ever had and we've eaten there twice. I would keep the ADR -- you will not be disappointed.

Thanks everyone! We are going to keep it! It's early, 4:30, so we will have our morning at Epcot, then have a snacky lunch at WS, then monorail over there for our ADR later. I look forward to it!

The food is very different at lunch and dinner. My kids preferred the food at lunch. I thought the dinner was more relaxing. The lunch was hectic. At both meals the food came out fast. At dinner you can have your photo taken with the Beast.

Our kids also preferred the lunch over the dinner but it was really cool to do it once. We are going back in a few weeks and will be doing lunch FP again. Enjoy your trip.

    Default Bog

We have had the pleasure of having lunch and dinner there. The atmosphere especially at dinner was amazing. We though the food was a bit mediocre but would certainly go again.

Our reviews: (we think lunch is better than dinner)
    LUNCH:
. . . tuna or chicken nicoise - good, but light on olives
. . . croque monsieur - nice, but Béchamel needs more nutmeg
    . . . turkey on a warm baguette - average, nice dijon
. . . roast beef sandwich - tasty, but slightly tough
    . . . braised pork - recommended
. . . vegetable quiche - wife liked it (men don't eat such)
    DINNER:
    . . . pork rack chop - the pasta out-shined the pork
    . . . braised pork - recommended
. . . chicken breast - nicely done and recommended
    . . . pan-seared salmon - cooked well, but average taste
. . . grilled strip steak - good, not great, steak
. . . sautéed shrimp and scallops - only average
    . . . oven-baked ratatouille - average
Average Banjo Picker. Pretty-Good Sailing Master. Newly Ordained.
