    Default DVC and magic bands

    How does this all work?
My parents are the ones that are the DVC members, so I already know I have to go through them for whatever.
What do we have to do? Or will my dad be contacted about them?
It's our first time going with down with the use of these new bands, so I kinda feel like a newbie, although I've been to WDW over 35 times lol..
Thanx for the help in advance

Do you already have a MDE account, if not set one up for your family. Link the resort reservation number to the MDE account. Look under Magic Bands and it should show there., don't remember how far out you can customize them. If you have your tickets you can add them too, that will give you the ability to make FP+ selections at 60 days out.

Will I be able to set one up just for me and my family? I imagine I'll have to get my reservation number from my dad?
It's me, my sisters family, and my parents, we each have our own rooms/reservations through DVC.
Thank you again for the help!

I would set it up for just your family and then have them set up their own accounts. Your parents should make their own account especially since they are the member and may travel more. Once the three accounts are set up you can invite them to share plans with you. That way if one person is in charge of making dining or FP+ everyone will be able to see them. My explanation may sound confusing (sorry) but once you start looking around the site everything will make sense.

Indeed, it all makes sense once you get into it. Yes, you would need to get your reservation number from your dad. You might want to get on the MDE site together with him and get each member of the travel party into MDE; that way your dad should be able to link the reservation, put in the names of all the people who are going, and then it should all show up on the MDE account of any member of the travel party.
